Ahh this is soo sick. Either Simran is too trusting or not trusting at all. I find the extremes in her character a little weird. I don't understand why Shaguna is yelled by everyone either. Have you noticed how Simran talks to her? Ahhh I can't believe Shaguna stands all of this. Of all the characters in Astitva, I think the only sane character is Shaguna. Have you heard the idea of girls falling for bad boys? It's almost similiar. Simran's too trusting towards Yash, and Abhiee at one point, but always yelling at someone like Sid and Urmila, Shagunan in other words people faithful towards her. What's ironic is that, she used to be "VERY" trusting and nice towards Urmila when Urmila was bad.

I was thinking about the samething too.. is that a kind of psyche that the director wants to potray? Then he better get Pranay back to show Simran what she is doing wrong by trusting people, when the others are not.

Manas, being Urmila's husband at that point, did not trust Urmila, because of he knew Urmila's hatred towads Simran.

How can one trust a stranger so much, so fast... Yash.. could be Abhi's son, but for now he is a stranger.

Why are they bringing this character of Simran to a state that one cannot relate to?

It's as if she takes granted for things around her... example Shaguna... I remember the time, when Shaguna wanted to spend time with her family, but Simran did not let her.. that felt a little wierd, coz, Shaguna was helping her so much .. can she not let Shaguna be with her family for a day??

I wonder if the writers change on a periodic basis or other serials have a greater impact on these writers, the twist and turn the character of everybody , making the story go all haywire.

LOL. Simran does go off the deep end at times! Especially in ths Shankar business.Yes, agreed he threw acid at her (or tried to) at one point but even she had accepted that he has changed.. Strange how someone can get sooo emotional!! By and large I think her behaviour with Shaguna (Have not seen this episode but whatever they have shown in US till now) has been OK though, she also stood up for her when Aastha behaved atrociously with her and was horrible to her - but now the way she is just being so gullible and believing all the crap about Shankar without so much as givung it a second thought is quite unbelievable. I think the director has lost it, sorry to say so - all he wants to do is drag the story line..

I remember that incident too. However at that point I was not surprised because she was in a state of depresson after Abhi had left her, was basically off the wall and yelling at everyone around her at that time, including her dad!! It was her trip to Mount Abu which changed her back to the original Simran.. But after that I have found her behaviour with Shaguna reasonable and has always respected her and treated her more like family and expected everyone else to give her that respect too.. Which is why I am surprised she does not listen to her at this point when she tried to explain about Shankar.

Yeah.. it was at that time... I guess she made up for that behaviour..., but this time this mistake will be costly.

Haha it's funny that she can't keep any one loyal to her beside her forever. Remember how her nosiness ruined her relationship with Manas?

Yep, though in that I think both of them are to blame.. Both of them had big egos which came into play.. Also, there was nothing wrong in what she told Manas - all she told him was her opinion (not commenting on whether she was right or wrong, that is completely perception dependent), but the problem was that she rubbed it in too much.. Even Manas has advised her a lot many times before regarding Abhi, has played a strong role in her personal life and has advised and suggested different things to her regarding her life and there is nothing wrong in that. In fact as a friend and a close friend at that, one has every right to do that with one another and is expected to do that too. He has said many things to Simran which may also appear nosey, however being the thickest of friends that they were, I would not call it nosey really - but rather the duty of a good friend...

Similarly the way she lent support to Manas and urged him to go and meet Urmila in jail when she was first arrested, gave him the emotional support he needed then was really another example of their great friendship.. But the *way* she told Manas at that point about Ria was not right and the timing was not right either - all she got back from Manas was a rebuff wherein he became defensive and he started pointing fingers at her in turn.. Not good for either of them! Sad to see such a strong friendship end the way it did.. After that Simran did try to make up by sending him an SMS which he promptly deleted.. And it was only because of Sonu that he even met Simran before leaving for the US..So, in the breakup of their friendship - I think both are to blame.. Very unreal, a thick friendship ending the way it did.. Just my opinion.

Yup... both were having ego issues and did not want to budge.. these things happen and time heals and differences are made up...

I guess not here because Harsh may not make a come back and we as viewers cannot take anybody else portraying the role of Manas.
