Why most of the characters r wearing black costumes in the show. From shantanu to Devwrat, even soldiers n female attendants r shown in black costumes
Most funny yesterday Lord Shiva was shown in black dhoti---never heard of it
In latest promo Pandu n Dritarastra r also shown in black dhoti.
Manish Malhotra ko aur koi color nahi mila kyaa

I was about to raise that point coolpurvi! It gets boring to see everyone in black or shades of grey all the time. The king of Kashi's court had one predominant colour - black! Thank god the princesses were wearing pink and red. I bet even in those days people loved colours and each person had his own style. They didnt wear jeans and t shirts, but I m sure they definitely wore colourful clothes with a multitude of designs. I cant believe our ancestors had so little imagination that they constantly wore black day in and day out!

exactly! why have they chosen "black" as the only color? Manish Malhotra down down! I don't believe he did such a terrible job with the costumes .

Neeta Lulla is better than Manish Malhotra. Before designing the costumes of Jodha Akbar she did a good research.

Ekta's Mahabharat is a work of hurry. They just copied west. no creativity

Why there is no sacred thread on the body of princes? Kshatriyas used to wore sacred threads

Why Shakuni is given Kautiya Chaanakya look? Was shakuni a brahmin? I have never heard Kshatriya having shikha. Why he is given bald look?

exactly! guess she was too impressed with jodha akbar (well whoz not? 😉) but compared to JA, Mahabharat costumes r a big let down. i've been writing the same thing in many other articles. ladies r sometimes tolerable (when they r wearing something) but men? 🤢 it's all black and golden! black costumes and gold sets. did she want to recycle the clothes? almost everybody is wearing the same color except bheeshma pitamah.
