I am giving below the response I posted on 25th Oct. to the earlier topic -- "Best future singer likely"

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/sa-re-ga-ma-pa-singing-superstar/117155/best-future-singer-likely

-------------------------------------
Nihira becoming a main-stream playback singer like Alka and Kavita is, IMPO, much more likely than all the others choices put together. In fact, I would go even further and say that it is given.

I am not a die-hard fan of Nihira, like many others on this forum, but I am more than convinced about what I am saying. The other day, I heard all of her SRGMP C2005 songs with my eyes closed and with high quality headphones on. She sounds so... superior to the next best contender in every aspect. I then heard Alka and Kavita. Nihira truely comes close to them. Singers like her come only once in 5 to 10 years. I have been watching all the mega finals of SRGMP for quite some time now and I cannot say the same thing about the other female winners of those mega finals.

I recently heard "Chhalka Chhalka Re Kalse ka Pani" sung by Ronkini Gupta in World Series and then the same song sung by Nihira in C 2005 prelims. Ronkini, who was the winner of World Series and Popular Choice, was absoultely no match to Nihira.

HR once said that Nihira is already in the league of Shreya Goshal and Sunidhi Chauhan and other girls competing with the her is like 5th graders competing with a 10th grader. That says everything. Winning SRGMP C2005 for her is just a matter of time--the real competition now is only for the second place

I like Nihira and she is a really good singer..

But what bothers me is that why is a person who has already recorded before participating.. I think it is unfair... I agree that this is a chance of a lifetime for a new talent,,, but would you guys not be disappointed if the winner is someone who has already recorded before...

SHe has already had a couple chances to prove herself as a singer.. I think it is unfair to other singer... Any thoughts?

I would have loved it if she had no previous record of being in the industry, and then swept away with the title.. It is ok to be talented and blessed, and to even come from a musical family... But I find it hard to digest as to why she is in the competition if she has already recorded songs before.. How many breaks does a person need..

Someone please clarify..

my suggestion is, next time u close ur eyes while listening to nihira joshi. I am sure u'll njoy the perfect emotion, voice modulation and a pukka playback singer's voice quality. her last performance was not upto her own standards I felt, but the antara was very difficult and i am sure non of the other participants could have performed better. dancing and swaying is not what she is meant for, she is here for singing her soul out and so she does. She doesn't need to change her voice or dance around the stage to be in the others' league. she IS a class apart !!

Heyy I'm new to this forum n I would like to put in my 2 cents.

In the beginning I really liked Swananda's voice but the last 3-4 weeks she isn't sounding that gr8.

Himani is an awesome singer....her voice has a lovely punch in it,which makes the faster(more Westernised)songs sound good. But she disappointed me today with her performance of Bhage Re(Chameli).

Nihira is too good...maybe she hasn't sung peppy numbers but today if u heard her sing Chup Chup Ke(BnB)then u would know how good she actually is!!She got a perfect 10 score from all the mentors(even AS!!!!).

So I think Himani n Nihira r neck n neck with mayb Nihira just a few steps ahead.

NIHIRA is the BEST. She is in the Shreya Ghoshal type singer. Nobody come s close to Nihira. She is the benchmark for others to emulate.

I agree with music99. Nihira is the best singer. Whoever may say anything, she is the best. Thats it. Her singing really sounds like a well-established professional singer. And all other contestants look like a contestant only. While nihira is a singer. Thats all.

Nihira is perfect...I just wait for her to sing. Everyone need not dance on stage. She is perfect for playback singing and her voice has that heavenly touch to it. She sings from her heart and today during the Chup Chup ke song it was evident that she is class apart.

Himani is good but only fast numbers sound good for her. As regards Swananda- she is good but not exceptional (thats how I feel).
