Angad to fill Sujal's shoes
Will be seen masquerading as an imposter in Kahiin To Hoga

After Rajeev Khandelwal left Balaji's Kahiin To Hoga on Star Plus, the show faced the same identity crisis as Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi did after 'Mihir' Amarr Upadhyay's departure. Although the old Sujal was instantly replaced by Gurpreet Singh, the production house felt the need to supplement the new Sujal with another character. So, enter Iqbal Khan, better known as Angad of Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Khan plays an imposter masquerading as the hero Sujal in Kahiin To Hoga.
Khan who's up to his neck with his daily Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai has taken on the added responsibility at Balaji Telefilms. "I had decided I wouldn't be doing anything more at this time. But when Ekta asked me to join Kahiin To Hoga there was no way I could say no. She's my saviour after all."
So how does Iqbal manage his choc-a-bloc schedule? "I get up at 7 am, leave home by 9 pm and shoot the entire day for Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. After which I proceed to shoot for Kahiin To Hoga till 10.30 in the night. This is followed by my dance rehearsals. I'm doing a solo act in the Indian Telly Awards. It's a hectic life. Only Allah gives me the strength to manage somehow." Khan does express his confusion as regards to the length of his rogue's act on the show. Ekta however is more time-specific. "Iqbal is required for just four to five episodes. Yes, we do want to use his popularity on his other serial for Kahiin To Hoga." Ekta reveals Iqbal is one of the most popular actors from her serials. "The other is Mohnish Behl. His entrance into Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki has done wonders for the serial's ratings and his popularity," she says.
Angad to get married!
While Iqbal Khan has rocked the popularity charts as Angad, he is all set to tie the knot -- but, only in the serial. "Angad and Kripa (Neha Bamb) will tie the knot next month," informs Gursheel Walia, creative head Sony television. If they are all set to take the marriage vows in the serial, their real life romance is also fast gaining momentum. Eyewitnesses claim that the duo spends a lot of time together. When confronted, Iqbal says, "Yes, I'm in love but not with Neha."
He has been dating his girlfriend Sneha for some time now. "I don't know how and from where this rumour started? Neha and I maintain our distance. Everybody knows that we didn't exactly get along when the show started. We'd have our tiffs, but things are different now," he says.
Getting back to the Kaisa Yeh… wedding, Balaji and Sony have decided to make this on-screen shaadi a lavish affair. "We're planning to rope in celebrities and make it look like a reality wedding," says Walia. However the channel and the production house have been tight-lipped about the budget for this particular episode. What is known is that special designers will be hired to make Angad and Kripa's wedding outfits. What about his plans on a real life wedding: "Marriage is on the cards but only after I move into my own house."
