OK, we are not going to take a poll about who is the most talented or who is the most beautiful, but rather who is the most charming and mesmerising. This means we are not constrained by physical beauty, even barrel-hipped actresses have an opportunity here. It's a combination of many things - pleasing to the eye, charisma, ability to make us smile - in short, mesmerising. And they all are - in thioir own way. MJ in Kasturimaan, Sneha in Vasoolraja etc.

I opened this thread because I wanted to explore actresses from different angles, rather than the classic beautiful angle. To me, an actress or a person is beautiful for various things such as charisma, vivacity, joie de vivre, rather than slim hips, doe-eyes and Grecian noses. No one would call Jyo slim hipped or Laila having a Grecian nose. Yet they have their own fan base.

This is not a competition. I thought carefully of all the characteristics I had put in - Jo's vivacity, Sneha's cheekiness, Laila's impishness, Trisha's kurumbu thanam etc. It is a subjective choice and people are free to vote or not to vote if they want. .

Dits, still not working. Never mind, it was just for fun, so let's just have a discussion instead.

For obvious reasons, my first choice goes to Jyothika. She makes me smile with her bubbliness. I really liked her in Dhool - I am not talking about Mozhi here because there she was intense and had a dark side to her character. I find her amusing and she really cheers me up whenever she appears on the screen. If I look for acting ability, no one can beat Revathy for me, then Radhika. Simran pales in comparison to these two. Meera Jasmine also surpasses Simran.

But I'm not looking at acting skills; I think Jo gets her fans with her smile and her eyes and I hate people who make fun of her weight like the journos did. I think such people are shallow and judgemental and write stuff like that to increase circulation.

I don't know why but I prefer Jyo to Simran. 😆 In fact, Jyo to even Sneha and I really like Sneha.

J, agree with you totally. Who was the guy who acted with Sim? I wasn't impressed with MJ at first, but now I like her. 😀
