Balaji director dies at 33

Director Garry Bhinder of Kyunki Saas... and Kahaani Ghar... fame breathed his last on Sunday night

KUNAL M SHAH

Balaji Telefilms' most popular director Garry Bhinder is no more. He breathed his last on Sunday night at Hinduja Hospital. He was 33 and is survived by wife Roshan and two children.
A close friend of the family informs, "Garry had blood cancer three years ago but apparently he had been cured. But, he had a relapse on June 24 and was immediately rushed to the Hinduja Hospital. His condition took a turn for the worse on July 4 and he was declared dead on Sunday at 11.30 pm. He had complications in his lungs, which were blocked. He then contracted pneumonia, which became the reason for his untimely death."
Garry had been working with Balaji for eight years and had started as an assistant to Anurag Kashyap. He had been associated with all major Balaji shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.
"Before his health deteriorated, he was working on Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki and Kiss Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. He was also the highest paid director in Balaji and had a very bright future. He was cremated at the Oshiwara crematorium on Monday morning. All the top actors from the TV industry and head honchos of Balaji came there to pay their respects," adds the friend.

What a waste of life, he was so young may he rest in peace. My cousin died round abot the same age as him of blood cancer. It is always very sad when a dear one is no more, you feel like you don't want to live any more. R.I.P

I remember seeing Hiten and Ronit's interviews in SBS asking for bone marrow donation n stuff for him. And to see him pass away at such a young age literally breaks my heart. Come to think about it, life's too short to live. So might as well make the best out of it. May his soul rests in peace.
