Now people will have to bear his singing again!


The monsoons have just begun but before the frogs start croaking; it's Govinda who is planning to croak a song.

I was happy that for nine long years I didn't get to hear a single song coming out of Chi Chi's fat throat. But the actor is on a comeback trail and wants to prove that all parts of his body are still in working condition at this age!


The actor has stated, "Yes, I have sung a number for Sunil Shetty's production, 'Loot'."

Why after a gap of nine years? "It's because I was attracted to this particular number because of its divine lyrical content. It has a nice, musical blend to it. It has been put to tune by Shamir Tandon. The words for the song are 'Jaako rakhe saiyaan maar sake na koi...' and it was great singing it, as it has a spiritual feel to it. This song holds personal significance for me as I along with my family had met with a very dangerous accident. Unfortunately my close subordinate travelling with me then died in that accident but I and my family were lucky to survive. So you can understand what significance these lines of the song hold for me."

This 'Loot' it seems is going to be one helluva agony for the audiences. Imagine two baby elephant looking actors in the lead -Mimoh (guess Sunil Shetty being kind to Mithun da with this favour) and Govinda. Upon that Govinda is singing to an out of tune music director like Shamir Tandon! Yieeeekss!!

By the way, I would like to remind you folks that Govinda has sung musical masterpieces like 'Meri Pant Bhi Sexy', 'Sharmaana Chod Daal', 'Tere Baap Ko Meine Dekha Bandra Station Pe' etc.

This was more than nine years back, when audiences across the nation actually paid money to watch films with such songs and that too by Govinda!
