What sort of movies would you like to see Bollywood produce?

Significant number of people compain about how every Bollywood film has love, well 'love' is an essential component in the majority of films. Even Hollywood films have the theme of love in many of its films. If u look back its pretty hard to find any film that didnt have any infatuation or any love interests between its characters.

But i agree films with too much love between characters and not enough of on the plot is really a waste of money.

But in response to the topic, I would like to see them produce more films like "Khakee", movies that portray real-life situations and behaviour by people. I think Khakee was a great film.

Also government type movies, because people would be able to relate with real life. It brings more people to the cinemas also how about doing a remake of older movies that were made like in the 60's or 70's of course if they were good enough to draw the crowd that is.

Yeah........I think the Indian Cinema is evolving.....But ppl who complain about these love stories do not support the new cinema.....Hence the trend continues..

Some of the best films i have seen from last year have been of the thriller genre....

Topping my list would be Johny Gaddar (last year) and Aamir(this year)........Brilliant films.....Superb Acting.......Still no audience support......

Ppl have no right to complain, if they dont support good cinema then they deserve the sub-standard mindless flicks !!

i agree i want to see more historical or periodic films by that i dont soley mean gandhi either ive recently seen gandhi my father and numerous other hollywood flicks based on history ie: untouchables (prohibition), platoon (vietnam war) saving private ryan (ww2) and i must say films made on historical figures are far more appelaing than the typical boy meets girl or rather girl and guy fight and then surprise surprise pyaar ho jata hai
another magnificent example is kingdom of heaven based on the crusaders war over the holy land (isreal) between chritians and muslims (the fogure of salahudin is magnificently protrayed)

aside form this as surk as mentioned i also think political films are intriguing too, in term sof bollywood i dont narrowly mean simple gov corruption and police ect but something which can create global impact ehnce would naturally draw in wider audiences.
an hollywwod example is syriana again a beautiful film surrounding oil in the middle east ans gov powers, theres stuff on afghanistan, pakistan, iran, uk, usa ect from it which is great

to be able to create films like these in bollywood would defintely mean the expansion of acting talent of bollywood actors rather than the silly shyness and pyaar ke issues which fair enough a love angle is always ideal as it part of life but a break and cnage needs to be established!
making films like this would mean that actors who are sidelined due to the lack of films would signify and create a niche for these potential stars in bollywood!
