I couldn't change a punctured tyre

Says Rohit Roy of his first date with wife Manasi Joshi where his car broke down

Well, this was the first time I took my wife Manasi out. We had gone for a long, romantic drive to Madh Island. On the way back, one of the tyres got punctured and I did not know how to change it. Guys are normally well versed with changing tyres and related stuff. I was looking around wondering what to do. It was also beginning to get dark, so we had to get out of there fast. And though I was feeling bad about it, I left Manasi behind to hunt for a mechanic. Luckily, I found one nearby.

The worst part about the episode was that the car belonged to Manasi's father and that got me really worried. In those days I was working in an advertising firm and was barely making ends meet. In fact, I did not pay much attention to my clothes and went to meet Manasi in my gym wear. Also, by that time I had made up my mind about her and knew that she felt the same. I didn't feel clothes would play an important role. However, I was at my chivalrous best that day.

Now, Manasi and I have been married for over six years and have a lovely daughter. The fact that I haven't learnt to change tyres in all these years is another thing altogether.
