Yes Jaichand did hate Prithvi, and he did not want his daughter to marry him, obviously. So, he was trying to get her to stop liking him, and get her married to some guy called Prince Uday, who liked Sanyogita since childhood. But, I don't think he would kill his own duaghter! If he wanted to get Sanyogita to forget Prithvi, then he would kill Prithvi, not Sanyo na?
