I disagree Second Mandira had more impact the villainess showed i grew up watching the second and watching the first had no impact. ACHINT was great in that role her voice and her looks.

Mihir was rarley shown in S1 he was just in the background KYUNKI got popular after the generation Leap. The show was popular by Mandira Tripti and the Bahuein Trio and then the Grandkids Tulsi too but again the rest carried the show.

You forgot karan-nandini. The 2nd generation leap became popular mainly because of tulsi and karan-nandini . Mandira tripti, tanya , ansh and aditya gujral were the villains.

I had started watching only after gen leap happened and Shobha Karan Nandini were part of the show. Mandira Bedi was there for a very short time, but i remember hearing a lot about her from people who had watched since 2000 and the memory loss track they had together.

The reason I mentioned impact is because Amar had scenes with her and not with Achint. So it would have been more realistic. Ronit roy had scenes with both of them. Since Amar was with the first M, they could have showed flashbacks if she was cast.

Mandira Bedi doesn't want to do Indian TV in fiction format anymore, that's why she quit in the first season and this was her last fiction show until 24 came along which was a limited series.

That's why her character had a plastic surgery; though she could have just as easily been replaced by showing a scroll that said the aforementioned role would henceforth be played by Achint Kaur. But they went the way they did and now her face change is canon.
