There is a loophole in How Dare You?

The King's stepmother is from the same country whose people had the specific mission of killing the King.

The heroine realizes this when the little girl, who couldn't speak, is sent to kill the King. Later, when she sees the symbol, she understands that the King's stepmother must also be from that country.

But this raises a big question.

If the people from that country were supposed to kill the King, then why did his stepmother drug him when he was a teenager and force him to have a child with another woman?

That child was the Crown Prince.

If her mission was to kill the King, why would she go to such lengths to make sure he had an heir?

That part doesn't make sense to me
