Author's Note

So the story that was conceived from a friendly banter, finally reached its ending… Looking back, I can only express my heartfelt joy and gratitude to all the people who helped shape this fiction knowingly or unknowingly…

6 years ago, I tried to cook some Khayali Pulao with my dear friend Nikita . We started a story on the concept of a Dream World where both of us wrote alternating chapters without any discussion. Needless to say, we simply wanted to explore how weird we can get with our imagination. Unfortunately, life got in the way and we ended the story abruptly.

After that, I have written multiple shots on Nazar, including an OS titled - What If? which was based on a similar concept but always felt the need to finish what we had started originally. So again, I began to write the story, and this time, I wanted to build up the story properly, with a focus on each character.

It took me 2 years to finish it but still, I did it!

I’m grateful to my readers for being patient with me and investing their time in this story. Paresh and coderlady - thank you so much for your constant support and encouragement!

Also, a special mention to my dear friend Jigyasa... It’s not easy to connect to characters based on a TV show that you haven’t watched and still, you took the time to read my FF and gave me your feedback which helped me understand how I should write the story so the general reader can also enjoy it.

I’m grateful to nazarmemes for granting me the permission to use her poem in Chapter 15 and Chapter 19. I have always admired how she expresses her views through her writing for they have inspired me to look at things from an entirely different perspective and incorporate those ideas in my stories…

Last but not the least Nikita - Meri Pyaari Behna I could not have thanked you enough…

I may have written the story this time but a lot of the sub-plots and conversation are based on our discussion on the show. So while you weren’t actively present, it wouldn’t be wrong if I said this FF belongs to you equally.

Also, thank you for letting me incorporate some paragraphs from your story A Treasure Trove of Memories in Chapter 25 which helped make the chapter more emotionally engaging.

With that being said, I guess now I can finally say goodbye to our beloved characters.......
