That's lunch on the opening day of the first women's Test at Lord's. India have rattled along at almost five runs an over to post 122 for 3. India's captain Harmanpreet and vice-captain Mandhana walk back to warm applause and cheers. England struck twice in the first seven overs, but then Mandhana took charge at Lord's, notching up a run-a-ball fifty. Jemimah's knock was cut short on 35 by Wong, but Mandhana looks good for a big one. Alan will be back with you for the start of the post-lunch session.

But England won't be disappointed as they have managed to take three wickets even after their majorly lacklustre bowling performance so far. Shafali Varma got into a tangle early in the innings to an inseaming delivery from Lauren Filer and was nicked off. Yastika looked a bit rusty on her comeback and her stay at the crease was short-lived as well - Bell got to seam one away sharply to disturb her stumps. Apart from that peach, Bell was wayward and also leaked runs with the new ball. Mandhana looked at ease from the word-go and kept finding the boundaries regularly. Rodrigues also batted with flair and freedom and the duo kept scoring runs at a good pace. They were moving along nonchalantly before a lapse in concentration from Rodrigues led her to chop one onto her stumps. The English seamers have struggled with their lines and lengths. The lack of Tests in the Calendar definitely showed in the opening session. They need to step up their game if they are to chip away at the wickets.
