Now that majority has watched the film. I am going to pen down my review

it's really not, it's running in its third week, people watced it, I don't recall a recent rom com or triangle doing these numbers. the collection got stunted by welcome release

Actually i don't trust the 150 crores budget news. Someone reported that WTTJ was 200-350 crores,ends up Ahmed in a podcast mention that the film budget was 110-120 crores. So i doubt the authenticity of the 150 crores budget

I'm wondering if everyone knows producer gets approx. 50 % of the net earnings.

This movie is good in the current day scenario. Can it be compared to the previous cocktail? Hell nah! That one was class apart. It had character depth and myriad emotions.

Nevertheless the major plus point of this film is, it shows the male lead who is clear. It was refreshing finally to have a male lead like him who isn’t a fictional unrealistic green forest or toxic male chauvinist. Also, no manchild confused behaviour. I felt Kirti was underutilised and could have gotten a character with depth with a back story. Rashmika’s character was too basic, their love story looked rushed and the chemistry with Shahid looked forced. Shahid’s character was beautifully written but he lost the charm to make people believe that two women are fighting for his love. Overall, the film lacks to establish a connect with audience and stir any emotion for either of characters like in case of Cocktail 1. If it would have been named anything else these comparisons wouldn’t be drawn with original as with the current situation of Bollywood, this film is good.

PS: Kriti looked hot and overall this was a good one time watch with beautiful locations and catchy original music. Rashmika was good too but the scope was limited, must work on her diction. Shahid, well his best chemistry still remains Bebo and PC. One can only dream a film now with this trio.

I don't know why so much money is spent on promotion when it could be used to make the movie better ( it should reflect on screen ) or if taken out , can lower the overall budget and increase the overall ROI.

Ranna Duggubati had said in an interview, Bollywood is spending just too much money on making movies for them to be economically profitable.

Welcome to jungle apparently spent 15 cr on promotion. Why.

It is 150cr

cast fee was arnd 60cr..then director fee..then the expensive locations..grand promotions..150cr tou laga hai but then it paid off with the opening..but because the movie got mixed reviews and feedback..it slipped in week 2 onwards
