So according to the canon of this season. First Nandani married Karan then Karan married Tanya and Nandani married Ansh. Later after Ansh Karan Nandani reunited (she doesn't clarify what happened to Tanya)

It doesn’t matter that he never saw Ansh. Tulsi praised Niyati for raising her son well but that same son not too long ago had questioned Nandini about lying about getting rap**d of all things! Told her to adjust!

His character was reflected in that instant alone. Had he been not told what had happened which led to the death of his dad, I would have understood his arc but now I can’t even give him that leeway. That’s the point where this whole thing falls apart.

Karan’s revenge for Mandira was justified because he was brainwashed by her into believing she’s mentally unstable, and Mihir, the adult in the equation believed it too! Karan was a child who had no one else to even guide him and was just going by what he assumed was right and wrong based on the circumstances of his upbringing, yet when he was exposed to the truth and had all his doubts and questions answered with perfect clarity, grace and with proofs as well as witnesses to leave no doubt about what happened he changed. Anupam in particular was helpful here because of all the people in the world why would he lie and claim that his sister was wrong and evil? Yet he did that. Karan believed his Mama over everyone else because he knew Viranis could lie and would do it to shield Mihir and tarnish his mom, but why will Anupam do that when Mandira is his own sister and not some random woman? A sister he mourned for 2 decades believing her to be dead at that.

That’s where Karan being evil falls apart. An evil person continues to be wrong and supports wrongdoing even when they know the truth and are aware of everything. Rio is evil because he chose to be evil even though his questions were answered because his mind cannot grasp that a man can assault a woman he married and force himself on her, and even if he does, she’s supposed to take it and just stay with him. Karan never supported Mandira once he found out she knew Mihir was a married man and tried to trap him anyways. He never blamed her for falling in love with his dad, but he blamed her for chasing him knowing he’s married to another woman and for going to the extremes she did to have her way.

Probably they want to correct their past mistakes. This time they will do the right thing.

R ko day dream dikha rhi hogi Tulsi, ki she will do as per his choice, succumb to his trap. But i don't think Tulsi will kill him now and ready to go to Prison again.

I don't think Niyati taught Rio how to respect woman as she herself let Ansh use her like a tissue paper. She was well aware of Ansh's all the marriages and affairs but still okay with it.

Why are they obsessed with making a 40+ year old play a 20yr guy ? Are there are no decent actors left in itv that you have no other choice than relying on senior actors ?

No. This is not the case. Niyati was probably born and lived all her life in US so she didn’t bother to marry Ansh before having his kid as she’s probably not raised with Indian values even though her parents are clearly Indian.

Also she was his girlfriend before he ever met or married either Shraddha or Nandini, so she can’t be blamed for this. She’s no oracle nor has any powers to see what he would do in the future.

Besides this I doubt any mom has a conversation with her son or any dad for that matter telling them to not assault their wives sexually, but Rio not changing his mind even after he finds out the truth is something where one questions how he was raised to treat women who had such experiences. Also so far Rio hasn’t involved her in his plan to trap Vaishnavi so let’s see her reaction to the truth but she’s failed even it unintentionally. Her and Karan’s upbringing are about as effective as her genes, they never stood a chance against Ansh’s xerox machine.
