Janvhi’s bold scenes grabbing attention and now it’s moved to Bolly vs Tolly

Any thoughts welcomed smiley36

Btw I read somewhere, Janhvi was unhappy with bold scenes in Peddi

She could have walked out of movie like RS ? smiley36

The difference between Pathaan and Peddi is quite stark. While Deepika Padukone was undoubtedly presented in a glamorous and revealing manner in Pathaan, the film never relied on suggestive dialogues or undertones that reduced her to an object of desire. In Peddi, however, Janhvi Kapoor is often framed through a far more regressive lens, with her character seemingly existing primarily to cater to the fantasies of the male characters. There’s a clear distinction between portraying a woman as attractive and treating her as an object to be consumed, and Peddi unfortunately veers too often into the latter territory.

The reliance on revealing outfits and highly sexualized musical numbers as primary marketing tools demonstrates that Deepika’s recent Hindi film roles function largely as tools of objectification.... This trend is mirrored by the costume choices of Kiara in War 2, Alia in Rocky Rani and Kriti in Cocktail 2. While critics might debate whether certain portrayals are 'tasteful' or 'cringe,' the fundamental reality remains unchanged......female leads are routinely sexualized to capture the male gaze, which is the definition of objectification.

this reminds me of quote of nana patekar during Agni Sakai ‘ the rape scene is done aesthetically ‘

Unbelievable! smiley11

Anyways , so we saying Sid anand use of lens is more easy or appealing than Buchi Baba Sana smiley36

Maybe we Bollywood waale can call our bold acts aesthetic and move on

@Maroonporsche

i have to agree..

end of the day a woman's choice...whether they want to carry on with the directors demands or not

look at Tripti. she is a good actor, but hardly any offers were coming. one animal and boom

i feel for Janhvi....don't know what happened that she went on a spere signing these kind of movies

coming movies...

hai jawani toh ishq hona hai..full throttle display of assets

cocktail 2 - same.

next alpha - don't be surprised suddenly the narrative changes to a beach dance smiley36after all its a yrf production

even Rekha, Sridevi and Madhuri were not spared

There is a difference between wearing revealing outfits and undressing a woman to humiliate her. Alia wore plenty such outfits in movies, at cannessmiley36 nobody forced her to do so either.
