My POV on this whole mess...

I dont think TRP dropped only because DK turned negative.... But rather because of how he turned negative...

Theres one gang (Me Coolu Scar) who never wanted DK to have feelings for Mannat... thats just ewwww. Would have loved a true platonic friendship where even if DK turns possessive for Dua ... on account of spending a considerable time with Dua... would make sense.

There were some who felt it was okay for DK to develop feelings for Mannat since she is so lovely and they have been fake parents all this while...

And then there was a group who believed DK was nasty...

But I think I can say with surety that none of the teams wanted Dua DK bond to be tainted. It was shown as parallel to Shruti Mannat and it genuinely looked so good in Indore setup... sometimes it became an overdose too but when the theme of the show is parvarish vs paidaish and foster parents being more lovable than birth parents.... it made sense why DK would love and care for Dua so much...

Now with DK developing feelings for Mannat ... and from 7 year as per his own admission.... it puts a taint on the entire Dua DK equation... as if he used that child as a pawn throughout her life for his own gain. Fooled her and never really loved her in true sense. Such a heartbreaking thought 💔

In every episode there is some reference to DK being Viks brother and so when he says those words for Mannat it only makes one feel like puking. As far as I know, in all other shows or in real life where such marriages have happened, one of the brother is dead. Here Vik is alive and redeemed to a great extent. How and why should the audience accept DK Mannat??? Thats the issue in my opinion.

That and the excessive leeway these vamps get.

Divorce paper was such a big issue pre leap which led to Mannats heartbreak. Dua being illegitimate child, disowned by her father somewhere led to DK being named as father on birth certificate, but they didnt bring it up during custody ... all of it was tied to that one situation created by Malla.

Yet it never surfaced. Ab to jarurat bhi nahi jab shaadi ho gai manvik ki.... Dua has accepted Vik.

Which means Malla gets a free pass again and DK gets a free pass because of her.

I loved Viks growth in the current scenario where he is finally completely assured that Mannat doesnt love anyone else apart from him and he is so secure in that feeling. But the sadism from makers means he doesnt even get to enjoy it for a day. Kya hi dekhna aisa main 💔💔💔💔

Better to take a break ... and decide to watch if things look somewhat positive.
