For maya since she's a girl she can't be viraj dobariyal. So every XYZ character is responsible for bechari maya. Arjun is bad, sanjh is bad, her father was abusive, mother was weak, Arjun's mother was bad. Sare bad people milke maya ko pagal bana diya. Ab bechari kya kare, sasuma itni kamini thi maarna to tha. Wahi deserve krti hai because she never liked maya.

Sanjh Arjun chipka chikpi especially post maya arjun marriage was uncomfortable, and I think when the leap came where arjun sanjh were married they were made ten times villains. What else would sanjh character be if not married to Arjun lol. That was meant for her

It's talent of Jennifer that maya who killed Arjun's mother and basically kept arjun on house arrest, mentally tortured him and sanjh, went to jail for her crimes and died due to her sins are applauded for the thins viraj did in his show as well. Maya did good thing by torturing xyz people and it's never her fault. I think a black character completely unhinged maya would be too much for itv. She needed to be bechari and everyone villain for her issues.

I wonder if there were better actors on per with Jenny, like maybe harshad as arjun and Aditi as sanjh with less chipka chipki scenes, I wonder if they would be as much villanized. I wonder if aneri thinks doing this role was the worst decision of her career. She was forgotten from Nisha to annoying chipku sanjh

Today I found out Cezzane was approached for Kyunki2 to do Mihir role. Glad he didn’t do it. It would’ve been unbearable. Can’t see him with anyone else other than Shweta. Cezanne in-fact famously got KZK because he had auditioned for Kyunki. Ekta knew Smriti was her Tulsi almost right from day one. Smriti has worked on a small show called Kavita with Ekta before Kyunki and she was cast opposite Ram Kapoor in it.

It’s a often mentioned but never officially confirmed and verified rumour about Ekta that back then not only did she name and get her shows spelled per numerology but she also cast people only after her own astrologer would get their birth details and cast a chart based on the same. He would advise Ekta whether or not she should work with someone and if she should, then which people should be cast opposite each other based on their individual charts and their compatibility with each other’s and Ekta’s. Her astrologer had told Ekta that Smriti’s gonna have a very bright future and she’s bound to rise up incredibly in life as her chart is extremely strong. That’s apparently why Ekta decided she would cast Smriti as her Tulsi in what was her biggest gamble in terms of a producer back then in her career. No one had ever made a family drama based entirely on women and domestic politics and drama amidst them, not with a cast so huge, definitely not on what was considered a late night slot famously called the graveyard slot back then because no original content that could be watched with family would air on it. Either you had horror shows, English dubbed shows or reruns that had no substance.

Ekta auditioned a lot of people for Mihir, and Amar as well as Cezanne made it to the shortlist. But it was the screen test where Amar and Smriti clicked effortlessly while Ekta and the star team felt the chemistry between Smriti and Cezanne was lacking. Ekta however liked his audition individually and promised Cezanne she would work with him soon. She kept her word and called him again for KZK, this time the channel felt he was perfect for Anurag per the briefing of the character and of course he and Shweta looked like a dream together and their crackling chemistry sealed the deal. The show went on air probably a year or so after Kyunki.

I think makers intentionally wrote Saanjh, Maya’s mom, Arjun and Arjun’s mom that way so Maya could be accepted and audience would root for her. Of course, the weak acting by those didn’t help the situation. Only Maya’s mom acting was good. She was really good, but as a character she was such a b*tch. I say it was done intentionally because if you see S2, the same writers didn’t make ML as confused or shown as red flag. One could truly feel he loved Maya unlike Arjun who was shown as so selfish and self-centered. The best friend in s2 is also shown as normal character and not chipku chipku with the married best friend. Both the ML and the bestie knew their boundaries so they were not hated by the audience

S2 i didn't like the shivin pairing. I am in extreme minority lol everyone liked that pair. When ashish was right there it felt wrong. Also the storyline was a bit risque. But as usual jenny gave it all. The guy who was her friend wasn't like Arjun sanjh. I didn't feel he loved her in that way and they quickly established maya falling for that lead guy

Maya's mother they wrote her as weak if I remember. It felt like maya was the mother consoling her. Basically did nothing to protect maya . Yeah her, Arjun's mother, Maya's father veteran actors were good

Also s2 as revenge drama and Maya had her enemies.

S1 A bit less chipka chipki scenes of best friends would change fandom opinion imo. When beyhadh was running me and some of my back then friends were minorty cause we didn't support maya like others did. There was this whole ass drama sone twitter guy took our conversation screenshot and were bashing it, so weak not even coming here to discuss about it. Weak people. I suddenly remembered that forum when you posted that clip lol

Also in s2 if the show went on longer we would get the lead guy torn to support her father vs her lover. It felt a bit typical story nothing too suspense like s1. I think if they did a bit different story that maya was this successful business woman trying to overtake the lead guys office, and the family secret about it, tension and backstabbing and the love story would be so interesting

There was no ruining. He was always a psychopath. Difference is in s2 he wasn’t glorified despite being a less bad of person unlike in S1 where he was actually completely bad/evil and had even murdered many people to get a happily married woman to satisfy his sick lust, yet was glorified and not exposed for his crimes and sins due to Kekta’s favoritism towards Ronit https://x.com/nimasha4sg/status/1184303733657591808
