We are fortunate to have many creative minds among us who consistently try to educate, inspire, and motivate women to stand strong during difficult times. I recently watched a powerful video by Koeli on this very subject. I need to search for it again and, of course, take her permission before posting it here.

I must say, the message in that video was deeply inspiring and thought-provoking. Content like this deserves to be seen, discussed, and appreciated in this contest, because it not only raises awareness but also gives courage and confidence to many women who may be silently struggling.

Here is the video. Produced, directed and acted by Koely Appy (CM India Forums)

I love this approach smiley32Every woman deserves to feel safe, be it at her own home, on public transport or in any corner of the world. While stricter laws are necessary, mindset matters more. Effective changes begin when parents raise sons to respect women as equals and the schools teach consent, empathy and understanding. Peers should call out sexist behavior instead of laughing along smiley1

Media, leaders and all the ordinary citizens carry responsibility. We cannot claim to support women only during viral news and on internet source while blatantly ignoring everyday abuse and harassment happening around us. A world where women are unsafe and oppressed is that world which fails in humanity. It's high time to stop treating violence against women as normal or a private matter between families because silence is no longer an option smiley31

Well said, yes, silence is not an option, necessary action is a must.

Helping a woman facing public atrocities requires immediate, safe intervention and, when necessary, seeking professional support. The best approach is to act as an active bystander, utilizing strategies designed to reduce harm without putting yourself in danger.

Apart from 'educating' parents and teachers how to educate children, there is the strengthening of girl-/women-power - in a very physical way: schools should have a weekly (gratuit, of course) lesson in self-defense (the best are defensive Asian techniques, according to my experience). The physical exercises also can change the timid attitude girls/women far too often exude and make them appear as 'easy prey'.

Nature knows those techniques where possible 'predators' get deterred by a strong defensive attitude or other tricks.

There also is the necessity of more openess, which means to discuss certain subjects openly which is for prevention (e.g. don't make you an easy prey by losing your self-control through getting drunk or getting something put in your drink you doesn't notice).

Still, nothing makes our kids or whomever in general 100% safe... so, I ask the good forces of the Universe to protect those I love, to watch over them, to make them do the right things in difficult situations...etc... and I don't forget to thank them for a well protected day before going to sleep...

Domestic violence and sexual harassment within marriage remain deeply prevalent across the world. In countries like India, the problem is often aggravated by social conditioning that pampers and privileges the male child from infancy, while women are expected to silently endure abuse in the name of family honour and tradition.

There is an urgent need for a structured national protocol for the comprehensive assessment and protection of survivors of violence against women. Every woman presenting with suspicious physical injuries in general hospitals must receive holistic medical, psychological, legal, and social support. In severe or suspected cases of abuse, hospital admission should be considered to ensure proper assessment, documentation, counselling, and protection.

It should become a compulsory and routine practice to report all cases of violence against women, while simultaneously ensuring sensitive care, confidentiality, and rehabilitation support.

A society/government can truly call itself civilized only when its women feel safe, respected, heard, and protected..... both inside and outside their homes.

Your words touched my heart deeply.smiley31 A mother’s prayer for her children’s safety is perhaps the purest form of love in this world. Despite all the uncertainties around us, your faith in the good forces of the universe, your constant prayers for protection, wisdom, and strength for your loved ones, and for others as well, and your gratitude at the end of each safe day reflect a beautiful and compassionate soul.smiley27

I truly admire the way you not only pray for their safety, but also for them to make the right choices. That is the essence of true care and motherhood, protection blended with values, guidance, and gratitude. Your thoughts radiate warmth, hope, and positivity. Love you dear. smiley27

Completely agree with you...and shelter centers have to be installed where girls, women and mothers with their kids can get protected with security personal supporting this protection.

Also a not corruptible police should be part of the protective program where also boys/men who face domestic violence can get heard and taken serious.

Basically, a community can only be feeling safe with a trustworthy protecting system and it is the fault of the respective ministery/governmental departement if it doesn't/can't ensure that people can go to someone to be trusted...

The constitution clearly states that neither religion nor social status should play a role, only the human aspect.

And thank you very, very much for your kind words, dear smiley27 Until some of those who loved me through their lifetime will give their soul to another newborn human, I'm sure they are around to help me and my loved ones to succeed in dealing with the challenges of our life. My soul will do the same when my time has come to do so.

In each person, there lives a devil and an angel (or something that will guide you to do bad things and something that will guide you to do good things). The one who created the Universe also created these opposites. It is our choice to whom we listen... the good forces will give us hints (often called 'gut feeling') or help us through 'instinct'... but we should never underestimate that the devil in us wants to get the upperhand by silencing these feelings and make us do things that aren't okay. (At least it is what I tell the kids smiley2 ... and they get more & more aware of their choices).

Then, there is another thing that can be harmful... it is fear. There is a good fear that belongs to 'instinct' but far too often, humans give in to 'bad' fear when it prevents us to do something of which we know that it should be done... I think, it is one of the most difficult challenges to overcome fear.

Problem is that women have changed and evolved with time.

But men don't want to.

Also ask men there is equality most of them would be like then so now I can hit women.

Yeb toh mentality hain inn logo ki.
