He is young man with raging harmones he will initiate romance the moment his wife comes into his physical radar 😆 🤭🤭

Did you read their reunion chapter after Lu city battle? How did you feel about their reunion ?

The Lo City battle scene was emotional, but the earlier scenes were also written beautifully in the novel.

The 108 lashes Xie Zheng accepted the punishment out of guilt. He did not know whether Changyu’s maternal grandfather had truly betrayed them or not, but he realized he could not stay away from her.

Despite his injuries, he still rushes to the battlefield to save her after receiving a falcon message from the xie wo he had assigned to her.

His regret over their one month breakup made the emotions hit even harder.

I also loved the two soldiers who stayed with Changyu.

Overall, the writing is outstanding, especially the way Xie Zheng becomes terrified at the thought of losing her on the battlefield if he had arrived even a little later

Ps:- He even takes that doll from her room with him because he misses her, and that scene was really cute. Gownson teasing him for that .

This is the first Chinese novel I have read, and now I finally understand why novels are so loved in China and why so many dramas are adapted from them.

I already thought C dramas were beautiful, but after reading The Pursuit of Jade, I realized that the novel’s immersive and emotionally layered writing feels even more beautiful and powerful than the dramas.

The only problem is remembering all their names

Ps:- I’ll read Road to Glory only after watching the drama because they never do a complete copy paste adaptation,

and then it becomes really disappointing later

Yeah that doll is unfinished also Him apologising to his family because he loves his wife is one of the best characterization of XZ..he let go of his pain,revenge for her and chose only her ❤️

Him meeting her after Lu battle, worrying about what happened to her eyes everything was so cute and loveable
