A. Why is it DKs moral right to be with Dua (because he raised her) and not Viks who is the biological father? They always kept this loophole that Vik didn't knew about the pregnancy so technically he didn't abandon Mannat!!!!
Neither Mannat has ever denied that Vik is the biological father.. if DK has moral rights then so does Vik... it was a misunderstanding on Mannats part which got clarified only a day back (in Mannat land). And she was ready to let him be part of Duas life till this case triggered her worst fears!!!
I can explain if you see vik as standalone character that writers are trying to show. You should keep aside your love for vik. I am sure it is created from the beginning of the show. So keep it aside and try to look at him as some real person.
legally I dont think you have questions I believe. Because it is clear why the custody goes to DK. Mannat and DK are living together. court doesnt care if they have feelings or conjugal relationship. Just by the virtue of living together and raising a child, DK will get custody because he is father...in Dua's mind, and dua's records. right?
Morally why do you think Vik will have to get any custody without clearing his bond with Mannat. Even they slept together for love, which no one is denying...he was not there for her later. How many mistakes are too many mistakes? Who will decide on that? Recently he had such a big revelation about ARS and how close she was to end Mannat's life. Which normal person after such an attack will believe in his own judgement? I thought he will fall on Mannat's feet and beg for all mistakes, known or unknown ones. Leave the initial Vik who flew in helicopter and who was supportive in hiring Mannat. After that what did he do that makes you think he is capable of NOT listening to evil people. He cant even judge his own mother. If he had any introspection, after recent ARS reveal, he will just leave his fate to Mannat. And trust her with her choices. DK till now is reacting only to Vik's madness. Otherwise he was shown to be a normal kind person. I dont see anything bad about DK's reaction.
Like Mannat says, Vik can only be PART of Dua's life for now. He should accept that. And slowly find his place.
B. Legally... Dua is a child of neither of the guys. She is purely Mannats offspring. Vik cant claim a formal wedding and DK is not even married to Mannat neither has adopted Dua. Mannat can choose to stay alone or hold the custody for Dua till her adulthood after which Dua can file emancipation...
Like Shiro said, Mannat can get into legal trouble for falsifying a document .. a fact that she isnt denying either.
Ofcourse, this is ideal. Mannat is not Sai Joshi according to you. So she needs someone. Sai would have taken care of Dua alone. So if someone can empower Mannat with this information then this is the best case. Legally, if she chooses to then she can eliminate DK. BTW DK can contest in court because he took care of Dua and lived with her co-habitating with Mannat. By the virtue of parenting Dua, court will grant him custody unless he is proven of some inability. DK has law on his side though he didnt marry mannat. He lived with her under same roof and helped raise Dua. Think about live-in relationship here.
At this point, it is not looking like a moral or legal battle but a possession... both guys want Dua to be with them and have the sole 'ownership' of her.. rhetorical hai... I am not saying it in a demeaning way.
And Mannats presence/attachment by association... as Mannat will stay where ever Dua is.

DK's obsession has reason. Vik's is emotional. He has to stop and think. And prove that he can WAIT. IMO Vik has no moral or legal grounds to claim whole of Dua. He can claim a part of her life. DK can fight because he raised and courts honor it. With Mannat's blessings he will have upper hand always. Unless she decides to turn her back on him
Mannat said this to Ronnie (prior to the case) that it was easy to choose between Shruti and Aish. Thats not the case for Dua. Both guys are good.
Good doesnt matter. who is capable?. DO you really think Vik after doing so many mistakes, unable to understand people, his own mother. And recently making the biggest blunder of believing in ARS humshakal that he is. capable? Is his house safe even? Unless you are a vik fan, I cannot understand why anyone wants a 6-7 year old with him :D. He has done poor job with Yuvi also. Not that he is raising him. But whatever he did he did bad. You yourself are a wonderful writer, how can you write something that gives him a child custody? Wont you write his redemption? He can be redeemed first, and then yes may be ask for Dua. Not now. Let him win Mannat first without injuries and getting close to her.
Same goes with Neetu and Vish as .. since Neetus whitewash she is the best mom 🤦♀️
I dont like this kind of writing. Who will decide Neetu is WWed? I dont think so. She is still her evil self. Loving your mom is different from understanding her true nature. Every kid loves their mom, but as an adult one should know what their weeknesses are.
Not to forget Dua is only 6-7 year old. Explaining legality / legitimacy to her is as difficult as explaining biology. 🤦♀️
Exactly. if he really loves Dua, he should stop this mess. And try to win Mannat first. He should show in actions. Not in words. All Vik does is words. If writers can show till Dua becomes adult, then also it is fine. Vik will get lot more sympathy just for waiting selflessly and winning her.
