Yesterday virat did na and after all that he lost š¤£.
TOSS - It's time for the coin flip in the Pink City! Both the captains are out in the middle now. Riyan Parag gives the coin a flip and it lands in his favour. Rajasthan Royals elect to BAT first.
Teams:
Delhi Capitals (Playing XI): KL Rahul(w), Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel(c), Ashutosh Sharma, Kyle Jamieson, Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan
Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel(w), Riyan Parag(c), Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, Shubham Dubey, Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma
Axar Patel - Starc is playing, Chameera isn't playing. Pathum is playing, which means David Miller sits out. Ashok Sharma is there, so there are three changes. We have three changes, the wicket looks good and we're happy to chase. It's important to return to basics. You need to stay in the present to turn things around, focus on the positives. Attitude and body language are very important.
Riyan Parag - We're going to bat first. I think it's not the usual Jaipur wicket. It's a bit dry; we noticed that yesterday and the pitch played a little faster on the other day. So hopefully it gets a little slow in the back end, so that's why we're batting first. (On the win against Punjab Kings) I think the middle order and lower order finishing it like the way they did and the openers as usual starting really brilliantly. But as a collective team effort, chasing down 220 always helps. Everyone's stepping up. That has been the motto, like, as I was saying, we haven't been playing proper and complete cricket for 40 overs. Hopefully we can narrow it down as the tournament reaches the business end. Another show today and we can rest for a few days. Bishnoi comes back in and Shubham is into the main team.
Aaj DC wale jeet rahe hain

Do you want them to fight like this then?

Momentum vs Desperation - As the IPL 2026 caravan keeps moving, we arrive back in Jaipur, where the Rajasthan Royals will be taking on the Delhi Capitals in Match number 43 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The two sides head into this clash with different aspirations - the Royals are coming off 2 wins in the last three games, including a big one against the then-unbeaten Punjab Kings, and the Capitals come into this clash on the back of three successive defeats, desperate to re-ignite their campaign.
Royals' strength upfront - The Royalsā success this season has largely stemmed from their explosive top order and improved depth. Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been a revelation, piling up over 400 runs and even smashing a rapid century earlier in the tournament. Alongside him, Yashasvi Jaiswal has provided stability, while the middle order, featuring Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag, has started to click at the right time.
Although Paragās form has been inconsistent, signs of recovery in the last match are encouraging. With the ball, Jofra Archer has been the spearhead, consistently delivering breakthroughs and controlling key phases. The presence of all-round options like Ravindra Jadeja adds balance, making RR one of the most complete sides this season.
Searching for a way back - Delhi Capitalsā season has been defined by extremes. Theyāve shown flashes of brilliance, like posting a massive 260+ total, but have also collapsed dramatically, highlighting their inconsistency. KL Rahul remains their most reliable batter, capable of anchoring or accelerating depending on the situation. Support from players like Tristan Stubbs and David Miller provides finishing firepower, but the middle order has struggled to maintain consistency.
On the bowling front, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel form a strong spin duo, while the potential inclusion of Mitchell Starc could significantly boost their pace attack. However, DCās biggest challenge remains execution - both with bat and ball, and that too across all phases of the game.
What to expect from the pitch?
The Jaipur surface has evolved into a high-scoring venue in IPL 2026. The first match at this ground saw a 220+ target chased down comfortably, indicating that bowlers will need precision rather than relying on assistance from the pitch. Teams winning the toss are likely to prefer chasing, as dew and pitch conditions tend to favour batters later in the game. However, it is a big ground, which does give the bowlers a bit of breathing room when compared to other venues on the circuit.
Whom does history favour? Historically, this rivalry is perfectly balanced. Both teams have won 15 matches each out of 30 encounters, reflecting how closely matched theyāve been over the years. Interestingly, recent meetings slightly favour Delhi, who have won three of the last five clashes. Their latest encounter was in the previous season, a topsy-turvy battle that went into a Super Over shootout, with DC emerging as the eventual winners.
Predictions?
Rajasthan Royals enter this contest as clear favourites due to their consistency, balanced squad, and home advantage. Their ability to adapt to conditions and deliver across departments gives them a strong edge. Delhi Capitals, however, remain dangerous on their day. If their key players fire collectively and their bowling unit clicks, especially with potential reinforcements, they are capable of pulling off an upset. Who do you think will come out on top?
