Sonam Kapoor silences absence rumours with ethreal photos from Anshula Kapoor’s pre-wedding celebrations

With several family members sharing glimpses from the celebrations, fans noticed Sonam’s absence in the initial pictures and began speculating that she had missed the event altogether. However, the actor has now put all rumours to rest.

Sonam recently shared a series of photographs from Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar’s pre-wedding festivities, proving that she was very much a part of the intimate family gathering. More than just confirming her presence, the pictures quickly grabbed attention for her breathtaking traditional look, which blended old-world elegance with contemporary styling.

A Regal Look That Stole The Spotlight

For the special occasion, Sonam chose a custom creation from ITRH, the same label Anshula Kapoor wore for the Mata Ki Chowki ceremony. The actor stepped out in an ivory-toned Punjabi-inspired ensemble featuring a beautifully embroidered kurta paired with voluminous gharara-style bottoms.

Elevating the look further was a metallic tissue dupatta in antique gold. Layered underneath was an embroidered ivory drape, creating depth and giving the outfit a couture-like finish.

Emeralds, Polki And A Statement Accessory

Sonam completed the look with striking traditional jewellery. A statement polki-and-emerald choker sat elegantly around her neck, paired with oversized jhumkas featuring matching green stones. She added an emerald cocktail ring and a delicate crystal bindi, allowing the jewellery to become a focal point against the soft neutral palette.

One accessory that especially caught attention was her elephant-shaped potli bag. Decorated with pearls, crystals and green embellishments, the handcrafted piece added a playful yet regal touch to the overall styling. Matching champagne-gold juttis with block heels tied the entire look together.
