We creative professionals pour our hearts, sleepless nights, and decades of experience into our craft. We don't just work for monetary benefits; we work for the credit and identity our work gives us. Recently, I directed the launch of a new show, Tu Hi Re Dil Mein on @zeetv, dedicating six months to workshops, location scouting, and directing the crucial first episode. The episode went on air on June 15th with 70% of my original footage intact—not a single shot was re-shot due to a directorial error. Yet, when the first episode aired, my name was entirely omitted from the credits, replaced by someone else. While the production house later cited an oversight and corrected the credits from the second episode onward, the first episode remains a permanent record.''
