Trust me I love Anita Raj and no other actor would have been able to blast at VV like she did but Dadisa herself had been a MIL like Vidya to Shivani. She chose VV as wife for Madhav over Shivani and was involved in keeping them apart for years. I do Hope they reveal that dragon actually believed Shivani was dead briefly and it was VV who separated Shivani and Madhav and then she convinced everyone Shivani was dead so that she could marry Madhav as Dragon always wanted that. It was VV not dragon who left Armaan at ashram when he was young. It was only after VV was pregnant with Rohit that dragon found out about Shivani being alive and decided to be VV’s accomplice for sake of unborn Rohit else he would be called illegitimate by society. She lied to everyone that she was the in charge of the operation so that Madhav Rohit Armaan and others didn’t hate VV as much as her. Plus she hoped VV changed her ways and become less vile. As for Shivani she was mentally ill for years so dragon had convinced her that she was the in charge and not VV. Was dragon still negative in this version? Yes but this aligns more with her current character arc than OG story. Heck Dragon loving Rohit more than Armaan can be attributed to the fact that she didn’t want him to feel unwanted as Madhav clearly loved Armaan more and VV too was more obsessed with him and loved to control him. Dragon also wanted to ensure that Rohit didn’t become like VV. That can explain why Rohit in spite of being VV’s own blood was such a decent dude because each and every kid raised by Dragon seems to be decent like Madhav Manoj and even Kajal whereas Armaan is exactly a clone of VV.

One clear difference between dragon and Vidya: Dragon barely spent any time with Shivani as DIL of her house and it wasn’t long before Shivani and Madhav were separated. Abhira took care of VV and Dadisa for 8 years when everyone else abandoned them. She too could have gone to Japan with Ruhi and Daksh and start a new life with them coparenting Daksh together but she stayed with Dragon and VV, vowing to help them reclaim their place in Poddar house. That was enough to change Dragon’s perspective about Abhira and her attitude about life in general while VV was back to her shenanigans the moment she stepped foot in Poddar house.
