BTW love Phuphasa as a character. Is he some saint? No. But he started out as an awful negative opportunistic manipulative malicious character and finally succeeded in turning his son into a mini version of him and even ruined prospects of Charu and Abhir’s marriage initially but Krish becoming worse than him actually made him realise he messed up in life and he stopped spewing venom everywhere he went. Was he still an opportunist and a manipulator? Yes. Was he as evil and malicious as before? No. Plus he did get karma more than any Gen4 villain character. His daughter died a tragic death at a hound age and his son in law couldn’t wait for a year to move in with his ex wife and have a kid with her out of wedlock. It feels shameful and disgusting. His wife became more toxic as he started becoming more sane. His son is a clone of Paritosh from Anupamaa but with a decent job. Because of his son he was about to be homeless. TBH I don’t see Ruhi as a villain but more as a tragic and brave character. She was a mature and kind girl who was forced to suffer so much trauma at a young age. Her mom apparently died due to her beloved aunt whom she loved and cherished a lot as a kid and her adopted dad/uncle abandoned her to he with the very aunt who was involved in deaths of both her parents and his biological son. Both people who could have raised her abandoned her. Then years later the guy she liked abandons her and forces her to marry his brother. Her MIL is Vidya. Her husband apparently dies in days while the guy she loves brings a new temporary wife at home. He leaves the wife to marry her and she finally gets the guy she loves but then he realises he loves the temporary wife and marries her. Her husband returns and she finally falls in love with him and they become a happy family and she gets pregnant. Her sister in law becomes her best friend but then it turns out she is the daughter of her very aunt who was responsible for her traumas and she starts hating her. Then finally they both are pregnant and she is afraid her kid won’t be valued by family. Then her husband gives her son away to his brother as he lost his child. Her sister wants her to name the baby and she unknowingly was about to name her own baby Ashubh. Then her brother turns out to be alive and reveals her baby is alive and it’s the same baby her sister thinks is hers. Her sister kidnaps the baby away in depression until she faces the reality it’s her baby. Her brother finally makes her realise that her sister is a good person and she was not to be blamed for what her husband did as she too was left in the dark like her. She finally accepts her sister. For first time in her life she feels like she has a normal family. Her siblings her husband and her child. She comes to love her sister and for each of the three siblings the other two represented the happy family they always craved to have and their best friends. Then she finally decides to do right by her sister and offers to be her surrogate mother. For her Abhira was not just her sister and her best friend but also a co parent. Then her husband dies. She feels lonely and miserable. She finds out that her aunt was not responsible for the accident if her mother and it was her childish insecurity. That traumatised her and sends her to labour. Finally she reconciles with the truth and moves on. Her life was complicated at best but she could still make the choice and be happy. She finally moves to Japan with her family to fullfill her late husband’s dreams. She did indulge in many questionable stuff but she suffered her entire life due to actions of others. Only moving to Japan made her life normal.
