In the narrow, antique-filled lanes of an old market, Ranbir runs a small restoration shop. He is an orphan who led a lonely life.So he observed his customers and their entry to his shop gave him an unknown happiness.Prachi was one of his customers.Her regular visit to his shop formed a friendship between them.

One afternoon, Prachi walks in.Ranbir looks at her.

She’was dressed in a simple beautiful saree.She was carrying an old vintage camera.

Ranbir:You are carrying a camera with you.

Prachi:Yes.Actually I am working on a photo series called “Forgotten Stories”—capturing places and people that time has overlooked.That’s why.

Ranbir:That’s interesting.

Prachi:I took the photographs of many things which caught my eye…which were beautiful to my eyes.I would like to include you also as you are someone who makes my time pleasant.

Ranbir feels an unknown happiness to know that he is a pleasant person who makes Prachi happy.But still he is hesitant to be a part of her photo series.

Prachi keeps her palm on Ranbir's shoulder which surprises him.

Prachi:Please Ranbir…please don’t say ‘no’.

He can’t refuse her seeing the way she requests him.

Ranbir:Okay.

Prachi smiles happily.

Ranbir becomes one of her subjects.

Prachi captures his photograph when he poses for her camera.

Prachi:You don’t need to pose for photographs always.I want your natural poses.

Ranbir:Okay.

Prachi keeps clicking pictures of Ranbir—when he is distracted, annoyed, or quietly fixing something.

During the photo session Ranbir feels that he really matters to Prachi which makes him happy..

Ranbir:Can I see the photographs Prachi?

Prachi:Sorry Ranbir.Not now.When it is the right time I will show them to you.

Ranbir:Okay.I will wait eagerly.

Prachi just smiles.

As days pass,Ranbir notices that Prachi is not cheerful like before.

He confronts her.

Ranbir:Prachi,why do I feel that you are hiding pain?

Prachi:Everyone has pain Ranbir.

Ranbir:Yes.But I am an open book.Everyone knows that lonely life kills me which is my real pain.But yours is hidden.

Prachi is silent.

When he forces a lot,reluctantly, Prachi reveals the truth:

Prachi:I have a degenerative eye condition Ranbir. Soon I will lose my vision completely.

Ranbir is shocked.

Prachi:My photo project is my way of preserving the world… before it fades away.

You know one thing Ranbir?You are the only frame that feels like home.

Ranbir looks at her emotionally.

They share an emotional eye lock.

Ranbir, who has spent years fixing broken things feels helpless.

Ranbir:I fix broken things.But I am unable to fix your broken heart Prachi.

Prachi said emotionally:That is human life Ranbir.Only God can fix us.I have not lost hope.Within a few days I am going abroad for treatment.

Ranbir said in his mind:Not my your heart is broken Prachi,my heart is also broken.Your pain is my pain too.For the first time, I want to hold onto something I might lose ie you Prachi.

Ranbir and Prachi looked at the moon in the sky and sobbed silently.

Ranbir does something unexpected.

He starts taking pictures of Prachi.

Moments where she smiles,

gets lost in the chaos of the market, adjusts her saree, or looks at him like he’s her safest place.

Prachi:I am really surprised that you are also taking my photographs.

Ranbir:After you go abroad,there is no guarantee that you will return to this place.Because the people who go abroad tend to settle there.I don’t know whether I will be able to see you again.That’s why I am taking your photographs.

Prachi just smiles.They look at each other deeply.

On her last day before leaving for treatment abroad, Prachi gives Ranbir a photo album.

Prachi:Your photographs.

Ranbir:So my wait is over?

Prachi nods with a smile.

He opens the album.

Inside are pictures of him—each labeled with how she sees him:

“The man who hides the storms of loneliness in silence”

“The home I didn’t know I was looking for”.

Ranbir looks at Prachi in disbelief reading that he is the home she was looking for.

Ranbir:Prachi…

Prachi:Interpret it the way you want.I am leaving now.It’s time for my flight.Bye!

Ranbir said painfully:Bye!

They both smile at each other tearfully for one last time

and Prachi walks away.

Ranbir watches her leave holding onto the only proof that someone truly saw him and loves him the way he is.

Months later, a car lands infront of Ranbir’s shop.

Prachi comes out of the car.Ranbir is surprised and happy to see Prachi.

Ranbir:Prachi..you returned.

Prachi:How can I not come back when my home is here? The first place I visited after reaching India is your shop.

Ranbir and Prachi smile tearfully.

Prachi:My surgery is successful Ranbir.

Ranbir smiles happily.

Ranbir:I knew that your eyes will be alright as you need eye sight to see me through out your life.That’s how I interpreted when I read that I am your home.

Prachi smiles.

Prachi:You are right Ranbir.You are the home I want to reside in till my last breath.

Ranbir smiles.

Ranbir:You are the Angel I was looking forward to end my loneliness with.

They share a romantic eye lock.

Prachi lifts her camera.

And Ranbir gently holds her hands.

Ranbir:Let me be your focus.

Prachi:You are my life time focus Ranbir.

They both smile at each other.

She leans towards him while he holds her closer.

After taking each other's photographs they make a third person to capture their romantic moment in a beautiful frame.
