I am Sindhi and Sindh was the first to face violent colonization by Islamists so we have centuries of mixed linguistic/cultural/religious practices

We say "Allah" in exclamation, it is a part of everyone's vocabulary

But none has ever sent me death threats for saying "Allah" ever

Western world made it a headline because some woman used Inshallah, it just shows how intolerant they are and how it is so new for them

It is not new for Indians to use these words

IKR! There are literally countless Bollywood songs people sing and dance to from decades that use Allah in the lyrics somewhere or the other. Qurbaani title track, Yeh Ladka Hai Allah Kaisa Hai Deewana, Shukran Allah to name a few at the top of my head. People play Antakshari and sing these songs, hum and dance to them. Heck, we use them as BG while doing chores. No one has ever had an issue.

That’s why the whole thing about death threats was so weird to me. I’m a Mumbai resident but my ancestral place is Kutch. So, hey neighbour, in a way but yeah.. my Kuldevta Mandir is literally surrounded by a village with a lot of Muslims who obviously converted when Sindh was crossed over.

Absolutely.

Dhar made sure that he went after the country not the religion. The distinction matters.

Mann Atkeya/Destiny is also a song by some Sufi poet. He could have easily avoided using it but he didn’t do that.

Irony is that this is anniversary of Pahalgham attack where people were killed because they weren't Muslims in India

If anything memorizing all of that can save your life
