I liked the drama version up to Episode 29. I just have a few complaints for example, she should have known about the Gua Sha therapy.
In the last 10 episodes, it feels a bit messy.
When you read the novel, many lines and scenes are the same, but the director has changed the scenarios according to his own vision. For example, in the novel, the goons come to the house after the wedding, but in the drama, they come before the wedding.
The novel has better detailing, but I would say the director handled it well up to Episode 29. It’s not possible to show everything in 40 episodes, but the first half is really excellent.
I haven’t finished reading the novel yet, so it’s hard to say which version is better. Per mujhe novel mai ribbon ka detailing pasand aya.
By the way, in C-dramas, male leads are usually “green forest” types at least in most of the dramas I’ve seen.
In novels, heroes often have flaws, but when directors adapt them into dramas, they modify the characters in their own way. Maybe that’s just how the system works there.
This year, I’ve watched two of the best C-dramas: First Love Between Lines and Pursuit of Jade.
