Hmm, reddit also does get it right many times so I will not rule it out totally.

As a fan this would be a dream come true if it happens, Chandragupta's rise to power is full of political intrigue. This will be an epic film if made!!!

Chanakya's role would be the best but I would not mind him playing either. He is a perfect warrior king but at the same time seeing him as crafty Chanakya would also be such a delight. But tbh Ranveer and historicals is a win win, plus with Dhar onboard and this story, I can understand why Jio and Birlas would bid on this. From an era of certain fandoms trying to gaslight Ranveer stans into believing that no one wants to fund his films to now Ambanis and Birlas funding his films back to back...ahh how times change.
