Looks like its more than just medical bills. Lakshmi is taking full advantage of the money.
What Lakshmi fails to see is Pihu misses her father. All the doll houses will not compensate for that.
Shalini is full of deceit. Lakshmi is blinding herself by the money and refuses to see the situation.
Jiya knows the reality of her life now. She can take the decision to free Arjun.
Arjun did the only thing he could. He left. But at least Pihu will still have her father.

How can he marry Jiya when he has a wife and daughter? Moreover, he doesn't have any feelings for Jiya. Singing is one thing, but marriage is another.
It is answered in the final shot which has been updated.
Thankyou very much.
SHOT 4
Lakshmi is crying, realising the blunders she had committed.
10 years back when they were lovers...
A quiet evening many years ago. A small lakeside park near their old college.
Arjun sits on a stone bench with his guitar, nervously tuning it.
Lakshmi stands a few steps away, arms folded, pretending not to be curious.
Lakshmi – "You dragged me all the way here just to tune that guitar?"
Arjun smiles shyly.
Arjun – "It's not easy playing when someone is staring."
Lakshmi rolls her eyes.
Lakshmi – "I'm not staring."
Arjun – "You've been staring for five minutes."
Lakshmi looks away quickly.
Lakshmi – "I'm waiting to see if you actually know how to play."
Arjun laughs softly and begins strumming a gentle melody.
The sound is simple but warm.
Lakshmi slowly walks closer.
Arjun sings a soft line.
Lakshmi listens quietly.
After a moment, she sits beside him on the bench.
Lakshmi – "You never sing like this in college."
Arjun – "Because you never sit this close in college."
Lakshmi nudges his shoulder.
Lakshmi – "Don't get used to it."
Arjun stops playing.
Lakshmi – "Why did you call me here?"
Arjun hesitates.
Then he looks at the lake.
Arjun – "When I play music, I imagine someone listening."
Lakshmi waits.
Arjun – "For a long time... that person has been you."
Lakshmi tries to act unimpressed.
Lakshmi – "That's a terrible confession."
Arjun laughs nervously.
Arjun – "It's the only one I have."
Lakshmi watches him for a moment.
Then she gently takes the guitar from his hands.
Lakshmi – "Play again."
Arjun – "Why?"
Lakshmi looks at the sunset.
Lakshmi – "Because if I'm going to listen to you for the rest of my life... I should make sure the songs are good."
Arjun freezes.
Arjun – "Did you just—"
Lakshmi smiles teasingly.
Lakshmi – "Don't ruin it by asking too many questions."
Arjun begins playing again, this time with a bigger smile.
Lakshmi rests her head lightly on his shoulder.
The sun disappears behind the lake.
Arjun whispers softly—
Arjun – "One day I'll write a song just for you."
Lakshmi closes her eyes.
Lakshmi – "Just make sure it's not sad."
Arjun looks at her warmly.
Arjun – "It won't be. As long as you're in it."
The music continues as the sky turns dark.
Two young people.
No money.
No fear.
Just love and a guitar.
***
Weeks passed.
A modest music studio apartment.
Arjun sits alone tuning his guitar.
The room is small but peaceful.
A framed photo of Pihu sits on the table.
He sighs and begins softly playing the lullaby he used to sing to her.
The music fills the empty room.
For the first time in months—
He feels free.
But also lonely.
His phone rings.
Caller ID: Lakshmi
He watches it for a moment before answering.
But every night he looks at the same photo on his phone.
Pihu smiling between him and Lakshmi.
One evening his phone rings.
It's Lakshmi.
He stares at the screen for a long moment before answering.
Arjun – "Hello."
Lakshmi's voice is quiet.
Lakshmi – "Pihu had a school performance today."
Arjun – "You didn't tell me."
Lakshmi – "She sang."
Arjun closes his eyes.
Lakshmi – "She kept looking at the audience... searching for you."
Silence fills the call.
Lakshmi finally says—
Lakshmi – "I'm not calling to argue anymore."
Arjun – "Then why?"
Lakshmi – "Because I finally understood something."
Arjun doesn't respond.
Lakshmi – "Money can buy safety. But it can't buy presence."
Her voice trembles.
Lakshmi – "I thought I was protecting her. I was actually taking her father away."
Arjun slowly sits down.
Lakshmi – "I'm not asking you to forgive me today."
Pause.
Lakshmi – "But please don't disappear from her life."
Arjun looks at Pihu's photo again.
Arjun – "I never planned to."

At Shalini's house, the music room is silent.
Jiya sits with Doctor Sonakshi.
A guitar rests nearby.
Sonakshi – "How are you feeling today?"
Jiya – "Strangely... clear."
Sonakshi – "Clear can feel uncomfortable."
Jiya smiles faintly.
Jiya – "I used to think Arjun was my past returning."
She gently strums the guitar.
Jiya – "Now I think he was someone else's present... passing through my life."
Sonakshi watches carefully.
Jiya continues softly—
Jiya – "I loved a memory. Not a man."
Tears form in her eyes, but she doesn't break.
Jiya – "And my mother tried to replace that memory."
Sonakshi nods.
Sonakshi – "What do you want now?"
Jiya looks toward the window.
Jiya – "To learn how to live without ghosts."
***
That night, Jiya walks into Shalini's study.
Shalini looks up from her laptop.
Shalini – "Jiya? You should be resting."
Jiya sits across from her.
Jiya – "Did you know the marriage was real?"
Shalini hesitates.
Shalini – "Yes."
Jiya – "Did you know he had a wife and child?"
Shalini – "I did."
Jiya's eyes fill.
Jiya – "You trapped him."
Shalini's voice hardens.
Shalini – "I saved you."
Jiya shakes her head.
Jiya – "You controlled me."
Shalini stands up.
Shalini – "You were destroying yourself after that accident!"
Jiya's voice finally rises.
Jiya – "Because I lost someone I loved!"
The room falls silent.
Jiya continues more quietly.
Jiya – "And then you made someone else lose his family."
Shalini looks away.
For the first time, guilt truly reaches her.
Jiya stands.
Jiya – "I don't need a husband to survive."
She pauses.
Jiya – "I need honesty."
She walks out.
Shalini remains standing alone.

The next evening, Lakshmi visits Arjun's small studio.
The place is modest, almost like their old life.
Arjun is tuning a guitar when he sees her.
They both stand awkwardly for a moment.
Lakshmi – "I came to return something."
She places a small envelope on the table.
Arjun opens it.
Inside is the luxury apartment key.
Lakshmi – "I moved out."
Arjun looks surprised.
Lakshmi – "Pihu and I shifted to a smaller place near her school."
Arjun – "Why?"
Lakshmi smiles sadly.
Lakshmi – "Because I remembered where we were happiest."
Silence.
Lakshmi's eyes fill.
Lakshmi – "I spent my whole life fearing poverty."
She looks at him.
Lakshmi – "But I never feared losing you. That was my mistake."
Arjun doesn't speak.
Lakshmi wipes her tears.
Lakshmi – "If you can't forgive me, I understand."
She turns to leave.
But Arjun finally speaks.
Arjun – "How is Pihu?"
Lakshmi smiles softly.
Lakshmi – "Still asking when you'll sing her to sleep."
That answer says everything.

A few days later.
Arjun meets Jiya at a quiet park café.
It's their first meeting since everything happened.
Jiya looks healthier. Calmer.
Jiya – "You look lighter."
Arjun – "You look stronger."
They both smile slightly.
Jiya slides a document toward him.
Jiya – "The annulment papers."
Arjun looks surprised.
Jiya – "The lawyers finalized everything."
Arjun studies her face.
Arjun – "Are you okay?"
Jiya nods.
Jiya – "You were never mine to lose."
She pauses.
Jiya – "But you helped me find my way back."
Arjun's eyes soften.
Jiya smiles gently.
Jiya – "Go home, Arjun."
***
That evening.
Arjun walks toward a small apartment building.
He knocks.
The door opens.
Pihu runs into his arms instantly.
Pihu – "Papa!"
He lifts her and hugs her tightly.
Arjun – "Did you miss me?"
Pihu nods quickly.
Pihu – "Sing tonight?"
Arjun laughs softly.
Arjun – "Every night."
Lakshmi watches from the doorway.
Their eyes meet.
***
Night.
Pihu is finally asleep after insisting Arjun sing three lullabies instead of one.
The small apartment is quiet.
Arjun steps out of Pihu's room and gently closes the door.
Lakshmi is sitting on the sofa, folding Pihu's school uniform.
For a moment neither of them speak.
Arjun slowly sits beside her.
Lakshmi keeps folding the clothes nervously.
Lakshmi – "She refused to sleep without you for weeks."
Arjun smiles softly.
Arjun – "She negotiated tonight too."
Lakshmi laughs faintly.
Lakshmi – "Three songs?"
Arjun – "Four. I stopped after three."
A small silence follows.
Lakshmi finally looks at him.
Lakshmi – "This house feels different today."
Arjun – "How?"
Lakshmi's voice softens.
Lakshmi – "It feels... full again."
Arjun looks around the modest room.
The same simple furniture.
The same walls.
But something feels lighter.
Lakshmi speaks carefully.
Lakshmi – "I spent months trying to give Pihu everything."
She pauses.
Lakshmi – "Turns out the only thing she kept asking for was you."
Arjun gently takes the folded uniform from her hands and places it aside.
Their hands brush slightly.
Neither pulls away.
Arjun – "You were trying to protect her."
Lakshmi looks down.
Lakshmi – "I was trying to protect the child I used to be."
Her eyes fill with quiet tears.
Lakshmi – "But I almost lost the man who protected me all these years."
Arjun slowly places his hand over hers.
Arjun – "You didn't lose me."
Lakshmi looks up.
Arjun – "You just scared me enough to walk away for a while."
Lakshmi lets out a shaky breath.
Lakshmi – "Can we start again?"
Arjun smiles softly.
Arjun – "We never stopped."
Lakshmi rests her head gently on his shoulder.
No grand declarations.
Just quiet peace.
Months later.
A small music event at a cultural center.
Jiya stands on stage holding a guitar.
Shalini sits in the audience, proud but humble now.
Arjun, Lakshmi, and Pihu sit together nearby.
Jiya speaks into the microphone.
Jiya – "This song was written by someone I loved."
She smiles gently.
Jiya – "And finished by someone who helped me let him go."
She begins singing.
The melody is calm, hopeful.
Arjun watches quietly.
Lakshmi holds Pihu's hand.
For the first time in a long time—
Everyone in the room is healing.
Fade out.
THE END
Thankyou very much. Shot 3 and 4 has been updated.
Lakshmi has made the right observation about her life. Now its up to Arjun to forgive her.
Jiya is learning to let go of the past. With some help and support, she will get there.
