Making the legal age for marriage as 21 is a good point.

But getting consent from parents for inter caste or inter religion marriage is not a very feasible option in India as there are still communities who are extremely strict about it.

So a fair chance they wouldn’t be allowed to get married or wait till the age of 25 or intervention of authorities.

Not inter caste, but I think in interfaith, delay is what I am suggesting.. If not 25 then 1-2 years of waiting time in case of interfaith should be there so that parents and well wishers can talk things out and know the motivations of the other party... If life threatening situation arises then police can intervene.. Multiple cases of love jihad the victim's age is less than 25, although there is no standard age. Rest there is no alternative to awareness and better decision making.. Not everything can be solved by laws anyway...
