And waise bhi I don't think for family show they need to add more....I was shocked when Shalini said bachche so gaye hain let's gosmiley30.....it reminded me of something these stuffs impact kid especially at such a young age...smiley24

Little odd from the flow of show but whether it's violence or making love they should keep kids aside....and be subtle with expression....

Even parents need their we time/quality time after kids. Honestly ITV shows quite good romance before having kids..even in general.. many people forget that they were a couple before being parents.. so the making love gets diminished with over the time. And at the stage Shiv and Shalini is, it becomes almost NiL if not being prioritised. They're still young..may be in their early 30s so it's okay to indulge in love making..it's not that they're witnessing the act but they know that their parents have love between them..and it won't fade away..much better than watching emotionally distant parents while growing up.

Honestly speaking, I don't think we can generalize or blame only people here. A lot of it comes down to how the scene is written and executed. Sometimes the intention of the scene might be good, but the tone or the way it’s presented makes it come across differently to viewers. So the reactions we’re seeing are also a result of that execution, not just the characters themselves.

Makers should really rethink on some aspects of this show that can be better, because show had really intriguing promos and was really hyped, so it does have lot of potential, just little improvement, and I am sure audience will accept this one very easily (minus complain boxes on Social media, who should be ignored).

But yeah, to me, kids are just nuisance in this show, that sort of ruins most of the scenes where they are involved.

In English shows they don't look odd because kids are used to or trained to see Family dynamics as them, and would never tease or make parents so uncomfortable, specially Shalini seems quite embarassed. I find all those things bit too awkward for kids in this show, and trust me I have seen lot of English shows where kids are just walking around parents having good time, it's just the way makers do all this here is bit weird.

Have it once or twice is fine, but the number of times these people are showing same scene, it's repetitive and uncomfortable.

I am an old school guy won't compare English /European /American dramas with India they have their own world....s*x is normalised there....

But definitely you shouldn't be involved in such affairs in 1BHK cum RK when kids are not so small and it can impact them .....here they are showing it in a funny manner whereas it's a taboo....

I have a very different view Andy yk.... everything looks good at a time.....not making love doesn't mean emotionally distant if it was majority marriages would have broken up after 35 and many times in late 20s for early relationships.....

My family still believes in arranged marriages like most of the others....and I don't know about northeast areas but here even in metrocity many try to limit such standards for before millennial parents as what I have seen....I mean physical intimacy not emotion (love).....

I should say this or not...but I know some kids when they were around 9-11 their parents were involved in such activity after they used to sleep....I know how they used to feel....so yeah this casual approach of kids for their dad taking mom to room alone made me feelsmiley39.....

As @AninditaB said, this would be cultural difference.

I turned off the show today after first scene itself, because it was getting too much for me to watch those kids now. Kids are annoying, and I wish they somehow move them away to boarding school so that I can enjoy this show properly smiley36; I hated the way they keep saying you picked up mom in your arms and left the room - 'We know it all', it's just disgusting to hear such things from kids for anyone, even parents.

But one thing, having physical intimate scenes in television world isn't just in western culture but also in Hindi TV shows, SaRaj & ArShi had lot of such sequences and it did not look bad; so in similar kind even if parents continue having such moments, nothing wrong. Heck, SaRaj did have a daughter too (Rajat did) but still they didn't show her in their private space and moments and did not remind audience they have a child in some other room. The moments were strictly shown for couple and between them. I think similar was there for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein too for Ishita and Raman - They were older than Shiv-Shalini I think; Adi was much older. I didn't watch that show through and through, it had typical Ekta sparkles, but I am aware of the plot.

Yes, and I have been very clear since initial episodes that kids watching it and DISCUSSING it makes me uncomfortable too! No gen Alpha, Z, or millennial doesn't matter. From cultural side, I can vouch that it's definitely not so common in Maharashtra to have children talk so teasingly with parents on their private moments. I wish makers also understood these differences and specially since their family is Maharashtrian. Thing is Maharashtrians are like Shiv only! They are proud of their culture and their roots, and yes this is definitely not-so openly discussed topicsmiley36

Chalo, by any chance let's assume they are cool family and are fine to talk about these things, I suggest they stop making Shiv-Shalini feel awkward, if they are feeling awkward that means, it's not as open as we would like to see.

Even in western culture I don't think they show kids witnessing parents doing it, if anything in modern family, they did have a scene and it was tagged as traumatizing for parents and kids. Romance has to be a private moments between the couple, and it's their time. So, I hope makers do focus on adding some clean sequences like Mahashivratri mangalsutra one and also the Holi one was really beautifully executed for couple scenes.

Again, I only blame dialogue writers; they really need to change the script writer and bring age and character appropriate scripts.

Then you have missed a very good performance of Neil in the last 3 minutes of the episode

Today's episode was full of Dixits. The screen space of Neilbhatt was also less, but I loved the way Shivprasad handled Ayushi and Manish Dixit, and literally bull dozed with the words. Hopefully, they reduce dixits a bit because it's bothersome to watch constant drama.

I was already in bad mood yesterday for something happened at work, thought show would refresh me, but it wasn't too helpful, so just switched it off.

But I read a written update, I don't think there was any Parshuram scene yesterday.

I didn't even intend to come to IF but I had an email about notification (I didn't even know IF sent those). Post was inline with my frustration, so just replied. Went off, couldn't sleep, came back online, saw that cute BTS that you shared in sm thread, felt better, went to sleep.

But yeah, I still stand by my thoughts - kids should be sent to boarding school. Will catch up all episodes tomorrow, since it's Saturday.

What the heck was today? Only best part was Parshuram responding to Aayushi, that annoying witch still doesn't know that man doesn't care for brands.

Also, I realized that Parshuram isn't always happy to talk to Dipali even though she has been nice, I think he knows that she is also playing the game that other Dixits are playing. She was kind of sweet on the phone to reiterate on how he was always mistreated by the family and their attempts to use this wedding as an excuse to make it up to him.

Aardhya is a psycho, seriously, what an idiot and delulu is she in?
