If im not mistaken, indian govt has already responded to trump’s claims multiple times. They have clearly stated that india does not need america’s permission to buy russian oil and that the purchases have not stopped. The statement didnt come from the PM directly but several ministers have said the same thing. I think jaishankar addressed it as well and there was even an official clarification.
I have seen this reported across multiple sources on reddit and X. But if people still choose to believe that orange baboon over their own govt’s official statements, then what can anyone really say?? When someone lies with every breath, the people pushing propaganda dont even need evidence, they just need trump to say something so they can ignore what the govt has repeatedly clarified.
India has only said they don't need permission of anyone to secure national interests but havent confirmed the percentage of Russian oil bought before and after 500 cr trade deal ..they have just sent out a blunt statement like they dont need permission..
both are different..if there are sources regarding the same ,please tag me .. china counters every statement thrown at them (even for statement that we wont allow India to grow like china ) which is what i expect from India..

Then trump will probably say something like:
You know india, great country, tremendous democracy. Modi called me and basically said, Mr.Trump, you are right, we will SHUT UP and stop buying russian oil. And i said, No, no Modi, dont SHUT UP, dont do that. You can keep buying russian oil for now, we give you permission. And he said, Thank you Mr. Doland Trump, thank you for your incredible leadership and attention to this matter. Everybody was thanking me, believe me.
Thats how he will flip the shut up narrative and his MAGAtard base will celebrate it like its some historic diplomatic victory lol.

Brilliant..
I could read it in Trump's voice..

US behaves as if India is one of its colonies. Iske liye permission lo, yeh batau, woh batau.
Why should we feel obliged to answer in the first place ? We are the largest democracy in the world — we don’t owe any Tom, Dick and Harry answers, least of all Mr Red faced Trumpet or his minions on X.
What i am saying is US repeatedly claimed it brought in ceasefire which India denied once and now nobody believes US..that stern stand must be taken atleast once no matter how many times opponents change its stand..

Why should we disclose how much oil we are buying?? Why should we answer those fools as if they have any authority over us?? US keeps blabbering nonsense every other day, should we start responding to every statement they make as if it actually matters?? Imo, no.
India has already made its stance on russian oil clear multiple times. The govt has repeatedly said that india does not need permission from anyone to buy oil from any country. At one point, india even faced a 50% tariff for a brief period, which itself shows where we stand on this issue.
As for china, they have long stopped caring about responding to such noise. There is a popular saying on social media about china: Do nothing and win. And thats exactly what they do, ignore the noise and move on.
There is a press conference also today at 5:00 PM, right ?? .. let's see if they speak on this issue then.. But then mostly it would be about domestic demand and supply condition also...

This is just blindly agreeing to whatever government says without even questioning if it is true or false..we even have RTI for this very purpose..government is answerable to its own people ..clarification to its own people is necessary first..
Also China has responded to US claims as reported by Business today :
In a post on X (formally twitter), the Chinese newspaper Global Times questioned the logic behind the statement, writing: “The claim that the US won’t allow India to become a rival like China sounds odd. Does it imply that China’s rise happened because the US allowed it? Or that the US will not allow India to develop? The logic is puzzling.”
