Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism. Such hate has no place in New York City. It is an affront to our city’s values and the unity that defines who we are. What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are. I want to thank the brave men and women of the NYPD who acted quickly to keep New Yorkers safe.

Our officers ran toward danger without hesitation, demonstrating once again the courage and dedication it takes to protect this city every single day. My administration is closely monitoring the situation and I remain in close contact with our Police Commissioner.

Mamdani calls out first, and by name, a "White supremacist" for protesting. He then leaves out the 2 Muslim men, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, who were arrested by NYPD after they yelled "Allahu Akbar!" and threw a homemade bomb into the crowd.

Mayor Mamdani’s statement:

— Names Jake Lang by name

— Calls a TATP shrapnel bomb an ‘explosive device’

— Doesn’t name the two suspects: Ibrahim Nick and Amir Balat

— Doesn’t use the word ‘terrorism’ TATP is the same substance used by Al Qaeda and ISIS.
This was a terrorist attack on New York City. Say it, Mayor.

Again. People here will claim terrorism has no religion. Please explain why they yell Allahu Akbar before their attacks ?

What's the deal with epstein files ? Ofc all those barbaric ppl named in epstein must be brought to justice but the other side claiming to be pious & raising a finger on them is equally ridiculous ..in their community women dont even have namesake respect..polygamy, child marriages , forced marriages ..no proper education for women , no respect for their choice in marriage or divorce , no inheritance ..rape , torture , abuse ..if at all the womenfolk situation changed for some privileged families , it was only bec of western influence ..in their religion what's the status of women ?

In india they had to fight for decades for a basic right like alimony , just bec their religion doesnt allow it ..n yahan bhi if they succeeded , their situation didn't change much..bec religion first human rights later.or none.
