Part 13 – Confessions in Many Languages

Scene 1 – Morning Excitement

The alum picnic began with laughter and chatter. Games, food stalls, and music filled the atmosphere. RK was restless, constantly circling Pranati like a buzzing bee.

Pranati (snapping): “Reyansh, will you sit quietly for two minutes?”
RK (smiling): “I can, but only if you agree that you’re mine.”
Pranati (rolling her eyes): “In your dreams.”
RK (grinning): “Exactly, and my dreams always come true.”

Scene 2 – Tug of War & Games

As before, the girls defeated the boys in tug-of-war, sending RK sprawling in the mud. He still got up with his trademark wink.

RK (spreading his muddy arms): “See? Even the earth pulls me toward you, Pranati!”
Pranati (laughing despite herself): “You’re hopeless.”

Later, during charades and antakshari, RK became increasingly dramatic until everyone was cheering for a song.

Scene 3 – The Song Begins

RK clapped his hands, and the music started. He jumped onto the stage, pointing directly at Pranati. The song plays.

Bengali Mein Kahte Hain

Aami Tomake Bhaalo Baashi

Aur Panjabi Mein Kahte Hain

Teri Toooooo!!

The crowd roared in excitement. RK danced in his full filmy style, dragging Angad and RL as backup.

  • He pointed at Pranati with every line.

  • He twirled roses from her basket and threw petals in the air.

  • He even mimicked Amitabh’s iconic scarf-twirling steps.

RK (singing playfully):
“Hindi mein kehte hain ke main tumse pyaar karta hoon!”

The girls cheered, whistled, and clapped.

Scene 4 – Regional Twist

RK suddenly switched, holding up cue cards with translations written by Angad.

RK (singing in Gujarati, looking at Pranati):
“Gujarati main bole… tane prem karu chu!”

The crowd laughed. Pranati hid her face, blushing.

RK (singing in Bengali, bowing filmy style):
“Bengali main kehte hain… amito tomake bhalobashi!”

The Bengalis in the crowd whistled loudly. Pranati’s eyes softened.

RK (singing in Punjabi, dancing with bhangra steps):
“Punjabi main kehte hain… teri toh, teri toh!”

Angad joined him in full bhangra mode, Pihu clapping along.

The atmosphere turned electric.

Scene 5 – The Climax

As the music reached its peak, RK bent on one knee before Pranati with a rose in his hand.

RK (singing, eyes locked on her):
“Chahe tum maan lo, ya chahe tum inkaar karo,
Dil ka yeh vaada hai, main tumse pyaar karo!”

The crowd fell silent, watching. Pranati froze, her heart pounding.

RK held the rose up. His eyes, usually mischievous, now shone with genuine love.

RK (softly, not singing now): “Pranati… I’ve said it in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi… but the truth is one. I love you.”

Scene 6 – Pranati’s Confession

Pranati’s hands trembled as she took the rose. She looked around — everyone was watching. For once, she didn’t care.

Pranati (voice breaking, but firm):
“Fine, Reyansh… accept it. I do love you.”

Gasps and cheers erupted. RK’s eyes widened, almost not believing.

RK (whispering): “Say it again. Please.”
Pranati (teary-eyed, smiling): “I love you, Reyansh Khurana.”

The crowd exploded with applause. Angad whistled loudly, Pihu clapped like mad, and RL smiled softly, relieved.

RK jumped up, lifted Pranati in his arms, spinning her around in a filmy style.

RK (laughing, shouting to everyone): “She loves me! She finally loves me!”
Pranati (blushing, smacking his shoulder): “Put me down, idiot!”

But even as she said it, her laughter and tears betrayed her joy.

Scene 7 – Closing Moments

As the music replayed faintly in the background 🎵 “Angrezi mein kehte hain ki I love you…” 🎵, RK held Pranati’s hand firmly.

RK (smiling): “See? I told you, Pranati. My dreams always come true.”
Pranati (softly, with a shy smile): “Only because I let them.”

The camera lingered on their joined hands as the others clapped and teased — three love stories slowly finding their voice, one confession at a time.

Part 14 – Work, Worries, and Whispers of Love

Scene 1 – Back at the Hotel

The alum picnic ended with laughter, but the next morning reality returned. The three boys reported for duty at the hotel.

Manager (sternly): “Good morning, gentlemen. I hope you enjoyed your picnic. But remember, careers are built on discipline. We have an important banquet tonight — ministers, industrialists, high-profile guests. If you make one mistake, you’re out.”

RK gulped.
RK (murmuring to Angad): “Important guests? Means high-profile ladies, too. Maybe I’ll get to say hello.”
Angad (laughing): “Or maybe you’ll serve tea wrong and get kicked out.”
RL (calmly): “Stop joking. We need to focus.”

Scene 2 – The Pressure Cooker Kitchen

In the kitchen, tension rose. The senior chefs gave orders.

Chef: “Sambar here, biryani there, desserts plated perfectly!”

RK accidentally spilled coriander leaves on the floor.

Chef (yelling): “Mr. Khurana! Is this a hotel or a mandi?!”
RK (sheepishly): “Sir, garnish should be generous.”
Chef: “Generous? Or careless?”

Pranati, who had come to deliver fresh flowers for table décor, overheard and chuckled.

Pranati (teasing): “So this is your great hotel management skill?”
RK (dramatic whisper): “I’m distracted… by the flower more beautiful than all these roses.”
Pranati (blushing, but firm): “If you don’t want to get fired, focus on food, not flirting.”

She tucked a flower behind his ear and left. RK touched it and grinned.

Scene 3 – Angad and Pihu’s Bickering

At the accounts desk, Pihu was helping the staff tally bills. Angad wandered in, munching on breadsticks.

Pihu (snapping): “Stop eating here! This is not your canteen.”
Angad (grinning): “Everywhere you are, Pihu ji, becomes my canteen.”
Pihu (rolling her eyes): “Unbelievable.”
Angad (acting dramatic, clutching stomach): “Oh no… kidney stone pain!”
Pihu (sighing): “Not again. You liar.”
Angad: “I swear, it’s real this time. Look, my heart pains too… because you’re ignoring me.”

Pihu threw a file at him, but smiled secretly when he walked away whistling.

Scene 4 – RL and Aradhana’s Quiet Corner

RL was assigned to supervise accounts alongside Aradhana.

Aradhana (looking at the files): “You’re very organized. Most boys would be restless in this work.”
RL (softly): “I’m not like most boys.”
Aradhana (meeting his eyes): “I know.”

A pause lingered, the silence speaking louder than words. RL looked away, but his lips curved into the faintest smile.

Scene 5 – Banquet Night

The hall glittered with lights and chandeliers. The three boys wore crisp uniforms, managing food and guests.

  • RK arranged flowers with Pranati. He bent close, whispering in her ear.
RK: “You confessed, remember? Now you can’t run away.”
    Pranati (blushing): “You’re still impossible.”
RK (grinning): “And you love me for it.”

  • Angad spilled juice on a guest by mistake. Pihu rushed with tissues, apologizing.
Guest (annoyed): “Your staff is careless!”
Pihu (firmly, yet politely): “Sir, he’s new. Please forgive him, I’ll make sure this doesn’t repeat.”
    The guest calmed. Angad whispered:
Angad: “See? You already behave like my wife.”
    Pihu (stunned): “What?!”
He winked and ran off before she could hit him.

  • RL quietly ensured the accounts and catering ran smoothly. Aradhana noticed him refusing to take credit when the manager praised the team.
Aradhana (later, softly): “Why don’t you accept your worth?”
RL: “If work is sincere, it speaks for itself.”
She looked at him, admiration in her eyes

Scene 6 – Family Conversations

That night, Malini sat in her living room, watching her daughters return.

Malini (thinking): “These boys… they’re bringing smiles to my daughters’ faces. But is it friendship, or something more? I must be careful.”

Meanwhile, at his parents’ house:

  • RK bragged about his banquet success, though Shantanu warned him:
Shantanu: “Reyansh, love and life are not filmy. You must build responsibility.”
RK pretended to yawn but knew his father was right.

  • RL quietly told Vivek and Kadambari about his work. His father proudly said:
Vivek: “Beta, sincerity will take you far.”

  • Angad narrated his funny blunders to Tej and Jhanvi.
Jhanvi (worried): “You joke too much. Settle down, Angad.”
Angad (grinning): “Don’t worry, Maa, I already found someone to scold me daily.”
    Jhanvi raised an eyebrow, suspicious.

Scene 7 – Closing Montage with Song

As night fell, each couple was shown in parallel frames:

  • RK & Pranati are sitting on the terrace, Pranati resting her head on his shoulder, secretly.

  • Angad & Pihu fighting over a single kulfi, then laughing as it broke in half.

  • RL & Aradhana were working on balance sheets, their hands brushing slightly as they turned the pages.

Part 15 – Success and Struggles

Scene 1 – A Tense Morning at the Hotel

The manager rushed into the kitchen, panic in his voice.

Manager: “Listen carefully! A VIP industrialist is hosting his anniversary banquet here tonight. If even one mistake happens, our hotel’s reputation is gone!”

The staff froze. RK gulped. Angad looked half amused, while RL calmly noted details.

RK (whispering to Angad): “Yaar, big banquet means big celebrities… also big celebrities’ wives!”
Angad (grinning): “And maybe their daughters too.”
RL (rolling his eyes): “Focus! One wrong move and we’ll be back on the streets.”

Scene 2 – Kitchen Chaos

The chefs barked orders. The air smelled of spices and heat. RK tried garnishing, but dropped half the coriander on the floor.

Chef (yelling): “Reyansh Khurana! Is this five-star hotel… or vegetable mandi?”
RK (sheepishly): “Sir, I believe in… over-delivering.”

Pranati, delivering roses for the table décor, overheard.

Pranati (laughing): “If this is over-delivering, I don’t even want to see under-delivering.”
RK (placing hand dramatically on his chest): “I am only distracted… by one flower that outshines all others.”
He pointed at her.

Pranati (blushing, yet firm): “Focus on your plates, Mr. Khurana. Romance won’t save you from getting fired.”

She tucked a rose behind his ear and left. RK froze, grinning like a fool.

Scene 3 – Pihu vs Angad

At the accounts desk, Pihu was calculating bills. Angad walked in, eating jalebi.

Pihu (snapping): “Food isn’t allowed here!”
Angad (innocent face): “But this jalebi was calling me, Pihu ji. And my heart was calling you.”
Pihu (rolling her eyes): “Stop this nonsense!”
Angad (suddenly clutching his stomach): “Ahhh… kidney stone pain!”
Pihu (throwing her pen at him): “Not again! You used the same excuse yesterday to skip work.”
Angad (acting weak): “Kidney stones and love… both come uninvited.”

Pihu tried to stay angry, but burst out laughing.
Pihu (smiling): “You’re impossible, Angad.”
Angad (winking): “Possible only for you.”

Scene 4 – RL and Aradhana’s Calm Partnership

In the accounts office, RL and Aradhana worked side by side. She noticed his calm way of cross-checking bills.

Aradhana (gently): “You’re different from your friends. They joke around, but you… You’re steady.”
RL (softly): “Maybe because I believe life isn’t a race. It’s a journey.”
Aradhana (meeting his eyes): “A journey… that feels peaceful with the right companion.”

They exchanged a shy smile, silence speaking louder than words.

Scene 5 – The Banquet Night Crisis

The hall glittered with chandeliers. Ministers and business tycoons entered. Food service began. Suddenly —

Guest (angrily): “This curry is too salty!”

The manager panicked. RK froze, but then took charge.

RK (politely, smiling): “Sir, let me personally prepare a fresh serving for you.”
He rushed to the kitchen, corrected the dish, and returned.

Guest (tasting, nodding): “Perfect. Young man, you saved the night.”

RK looked at Pranati across the hall, his eyes shining. She gave him a proud little nod.

Meanwhile, Angad accidentally spilled juice on another guest.

Guest (furious): “What is this carelessness?”
Pihu (stepping in quickly): “Sir, he’s new. Please forgive him — I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

The guest calmed. Angad leaned close to Pihu and whispered:
Angad: “See? You already behave like my wife.”
Pihu (stunned, blushing): “What?! Idiot!”

On the other hand, RL had to resolve billing confusion. With calm authority, he handled it, impressing the manager.

Manager: “Excellent work, Mr. Lamba. Your sincerity is rare.”
Aradhana’s eyes softened as she looked at him.

Scene 6 – The Celebration

After the banquet ended successfully, the three boys and the girls slipped out to the beach. The moonlight shimmered on the water.

RK carried a speaker, Angad grabbed snacks, and RL just smiled.

RK (excited): “We survived our first big night! This calls for a party.”
Pranati (smirking): “As long as you don’t sing one of your filmi shayaris again.”
RK (mock-hurt): “But my poetry comes straight from the heart!”

Angad lit sparklers, running around with Pihu chasing him. RL and Aradhana sat by the shore, feet in the water.

Song Sequence: “It’s the Time to Disco” (Kal Ho Naa Ho)

  • RK grabbed Pranati’s hand, pulling her into the dance. She resisted, but eventually laughed and joined in.

  • Angad and Pihu danced childishly, throwing sand at each other.

  • RL hesitated, but Aradhana gently held his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor.

All six danced together under the moonlight, joy and laughter echoing.

Scene 7 – Closing Moments

As the song ended, the group collapsed on the sand, breathless.

RK (grinning at Pranati): “See? Together, we can handle anything.”
Pranati didn’t reply, but her smile said it all.

Angad (to Pihu): “Don’t laugh too much. You’ll fall in love with me.”
Pihu (blushing, retorting): “In your dreams!”

Aradhana (softly to RL): “You’re lucky to have such friends.”
RL (looking at her quietly): “Maybe… I’m luckiest to have met you.”

Aradhana looked away, her cheeks pink.

The waves crashed, sealing their first step into adulthood — love blooming, responsibilities growing.

Scene 1 – RK & Pranati: Finally Together

Evening on the terrace, with fairy lights from Malini’s courtyard glowing below. RK dramatically spreads his arms.

RK: “Pranati ji, in Hindi I say I love you… in Gujarati tane prem karu chu… in Bengali aami tomake bhalobashi… in Punjabi teri toh! But in every language, my heart says the same thing — I love you, Pranati.”

Pranati blushes but smacks his arm.

Pranati: “You’re impossible, Reyansh.”
RK (grinning, stepping closer): “And you love this impossible guy, don’t you?”
Pranati (finally whispering): “…Yes. I do.”

RK whoops, twirling her around. She laughs despite herself.

Scene 2 – Angad & Pihu: Laughter Turns to Love

Courtyard. Pihu is trying to study accounts under a lamp. Angad sneaks up and covers her eyes.

Pihu: “Angad! I swear I’ll throw this book at you.”
Angad (smiling): “Then I’ll keep it as your love letter.”

Pihu groans, but Angad suddenly grows serious.

Angad: “Pihu… I joke a lot. But when you’re not around, everything feels empty. Even my kidney stone excuses don’t work without you.”

Pihu looks at him, startled. He takes her hand gently.

Angad (softly): “I think… I’ve fallen for you.”

Pihu pulls her hand away, flustered. She turns… but then comes back, eyes glistening.

Pihu: “Idiot… you took so long to say it. I love you too.”

Angad beams, lifting her into a playful spin.

Scene 3 – RL & Aradhana: A Gentle Confession

Quiet lane near Aradhana’s house. The streetlights flicker. RL and Aradhana walk side by side.

Aradhana (softly): “You never boast, never push… but I feel more at peace with you than anyone else.”
RL (pausing, gathering courage): “Because I don’t want to pretend. The truth is… I love you, Aradhana.”

Aradhana smiles, her eyes shining.

Aradhana: “And the truth is… I’ve loved you too, Reyansh.”

They stand silently, holding hands, hearts speaking louder than words.

🎵 Song Sequence: “Pehla Nasha” (Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar)

The confessions merge into a dreamlike montage:

  • RK & Pranati: Running through flower fields, he chases her with roses. She finally lets him catch her hand.

  • Angad & Pihu: Cycling on village roads, laughing, playfully racing each other. Angad “pretends” to fall, Pihu rushes to help — only to realize he’s faking to hold her.

  • RL & Aradhana: Walking barefoot along the beach at dusk, waves brushing their feet. RL stops, brushing hair from her face; she blushes, leaning closer.

The music swells as each couple looks into each other’s eyes — no more doubts, no more hesitations.

Chapter 17 – Whispers at Home

The hotel kitchen buzzed with clattering pots when RK swaggered into the manager’s cabin. He leaned against the doorframe, flashing his best smile.

RK: “Sir, I’ve come with a peaceful request… two days’ leave.”

The manager looked up, suspicious.

Manager: “Leave already? It’s barely three months. What’s the excuse?”

RK (dramatically sighing): “My poor maa is starving without me. My papa wanders the neighborhood, asking strangers if they’ve seen his handsome son. If I don’t go now, they’ll print missing posters.”

Angad peeked in, smirking.

Angad: “Don’t believe him, Sir. Girls keep him so busy, even Google Maps loses track.”

The manager chuckled despite himself.

Manager: “Fine. Take your leave. But no roaming the streets behind girls. Understood?”

RK (saluting): “Sir, I roam responsibly.”

RL shook his head with a quiet smile.

RL: “Don’t worry, Sir. I’ll bring him back.”

And with that, their short trips home began.

At the Khurana house, RK burst in loudly, calling out, “Maa! Papa! Your hero has returned!” Isha hurried out, hugging him, while Shantanu chuckled at his theatrics. But as dinner went on, Isha noticed something different. RK was quieter, smiling to himself.

Isha: “Rey… is there a girl?”

RK choked on his food.

RK: “Maa! You think so little of me? I’m a dedicated son.”

But later, when he recited silly shayari about “a girl whose eyes could melt stone,” both parents exchanged knowing glances.

Across the city, Angad surprised Tej and Jhanvi by serving tea.

Jhanvi (shocked): “Tej, pinch me. Did our son actually make tea?”

Tej (grumbling): “Check for poison first.”

Angad pouted, but his blush betrayed him.

Jhanvi (softly): “Who is she?”

Angad (muttering): “The one whose laughter traps me…”

Tej (serious but kind): “Love is easy, Angad. Responsibility is hard. Remember that.”

For once, Angad nodded quietly.

At the Lamba residence, RL’s homecoming was tender. Kadambari hugged him tightly, sensing something in his silence.

Kadambari: “Your eyes are glowing, Rey. A mother knows. There’s someone, isn’t there?”

RL lowered his gaze.

RL (softly): “She makes me want to be… better.”

Vivek’s voice was steady.

Vivek: “Then don’t lose her.”

RL smiled faintly, the weight of his parents’ blessing sinking deep in his heart.

A few days later, the boys reunited at Chennai station. RK jumped into the jeep, arms wide.

RK: “Chennai, city of dreams—and dream girls!”

Angad: “More like the city of Sambhar. Girls won’t fall for you, Romeo.”

But RL sat quietly, gazing out the window.

RK (teasing): “Why so silent, Lamba? Maa fed you karela juice?”

Angad leaned in, eyes twinkling.

Angad: “No, no. This silence has one name—L-O-V-E.”

RL blushed, and both friends whistled.

RK (grinning): “Wah, poetry in your eyes! Careful, dost, you’re becoming dangerous.”

RL (calmly but firmly): “No competition this time. She’s mine.”

Laughter echoed in the jeep as they drove back, their brotherhood stronger than ever.

Back at Malini’s house, the girls noticed the changes instantly.

Pihu: “Look at them! Acting as they returned from a war.”
Pranati (smirking): “More like they stuffed themselves with home food.”

RK (puffing his chest): “Excuse me? This is muscle. Want to see my six-pack?”
Pranati: “Six-pack? More like a family pack.”

Laughter rang out as Angad stole Pihu’s rose, earning sand in his face later. RL, however, sat quietly near Aradhana.

Aradhana: “You seem different. Happier.”
RL (gently): “Home reminds us not to lose what makes us alive.”

Her cheeks warmed, and she quickly looked away, sketching again.

RK (overhearing): “Careful, girls, Lamba’s turning into a poet.”
Pranati (snapping): “At least he talks with respect.”
RK (grinning): “But I only flirt with you the most. Doesn’t that make you special?”

Pranati turned away, hiding her smile.

That weekend, Angad announced, “Picnic time!” and dragged everyone to the beach.

RK tried volleyball and ended up flat in the sand.

Pranati (laughing): “Your six-pack is so useful!”
RK (dusting off, smirking): “Even the sand wants to hug me.”

Meanwhile, Pihu chased Angad for stealing coconut water, finally showering him with sand. RL and Aradhana sat apart, quietly talking, their bond growing with every word.

Then RK pulled out a speaker.

RK: “Special song for a special dulhaniya!”

🎵 Song: “Aati Kya Khandala” (Ghulam, 1998) 🎵

RK danced wildly, pointing at Pranati. She mimicked his steps, making everyone laugh. Angad teased Pihu, chasing her to the beat. RL smiled as Aradhana hummed softly beside him.

The song ended with RK tripping, caught by Pranati in a perfect filmi pose.

Pranati (blushing): “Hopeless.”
RK (grinning): “Hopelessly yours.”

The beach rang with laughter, waves crashing behind them, three love stories quietly finding their rhythm.

Chapter 18 – Dreams on Trial

The following Monday, the atmosphere at the hotel was tense. Word spread that the regional manager and a team of investors were visiting for a surprise inspection.

In the staff briefing, the director clapped his hands.

Director: “Listen carefully! This inspection could decide the future of our hotel. One mistake, and the investors will pull out. Khurana, Lamba, Angad—you’re all on duty. No jokes, no drama!”

RK saluted dramatically.

RK: “Sir, drama is my middle name. But don’t worry, today I’ll be the Amitabh Bachchan of responsibility.”

The director rolled his eyes.

Director: “God help us.”

The Assignments

  • RL was put in charge of the continental food section—the toughest part.

  • RK was tasked with guest hospitality.

  • Angad, of course, was made assistant in the banquet hall, where he could “do the least damage.”

Scene 1 – RL in the Kitchen

RL wore his chef’s coat like armor. He calmly instructed juniors, tasting sauces, adjusting flavors. Aradhana, who was visiting for research for her sketch project, peeked through the kitchen window.

Junior Chef (worried): “Sir, the soufflé isn’t rising.”
RL (calmly): “Patience. Sometimes good things take time.”

Aradhana smiled faintly, realizing he wasn’t just talking about food. RL looked up, caught her gaze, and for a moment, the kitchen heat had nothing to do with the stoves.

Scene 2 – RK with the Guests

In the lobby, RK greeted the investors with exaggerated charm.

RK (bowing slightly): “Welcome, gentlemen, to our humble palace. Today, I’ll treat you not as guests, but as family.”

The investors chuckled, amused by his confidence.

One investor’s wife sneezed, and RK immediately pulled out a handkerchief like a magician.

Investor’s Wife (smiling): “Thank you, young man.”
RK (winking): “Bless you, aunty. Beauty with brains and now… blessed health.”

From the corner, Pranati, carrying flower decorations, shook her head.

Pranati (muttering): “Shameless flirt. But… he does make people smile.”

When RK caught her smiling at him, he nearly forgot his job.

Scene 3 – Angad in the Banquet Hall

Angad was supposed to supervise table settings. Instead, he turned napkin-folding into origami animals.

Pihu (walking in with juice trays): “What are these? Elephants? Swans? This is not a zoo, Angad!”

Angad (grinning): “Why not? Who wouldn’t want a party with a zoo theme?”

Pihu smacked his arm with a tray.

Pihu: “One day, your nautanki will cost you your job.”
Angad (clutching his arm dramatically): “Your touch already cost me my heart, Pihu ji.”

Pihu blushed, hiding it with an eye roll.

The Crisis

Just when things seemed smooth, disaster struck. The soufflé collapsed, the banquet’s sound system failed, and one investor complained about the “cold welcome.”

Panic spread, but the trio jumped in.

  • RL improvised a new dish—creamy mushroom risotto—and presented it with calm confidence.

  • RK distracted the guests with his humor, narrating filmy anecdotes until they forgot their irritation.

  • Angad, with Pihu’s help, fixed the sound system using duct tape and a lot of jokes.

By the end of the evening, the investors were clapping, thoroughly entertained and impressed.

Regional Manager: “Your team is young but talented. This hotel has a bright future.”

The director exhaled in relief.

After Hours – The Rooftop

That night, the six of them—RK, RL, Angad, Pranati, Pihu, and Aradhana—sat on the rooftop, sipping soft drinks under the stars.

RK (raising his glass): “To us—the dream team!”
Angad: “To me—the life of the dream team.”
RL (quietly, with a smile): “To the people who make dreams worth chasing.”

The girls glanced at their boys, each heart skipping for different reasons.

As the night deepened, three unspoken stories glowed silently under the Chennai sky.

Chapter 19 – Hearts on a Hill

The director called the trio into his office.

Director: “Good news. Our hotel has been selected to cater a high-profile wedding… in Ooty.”
RK (excited): “Wedding? Ooty? Wah, sir! This is not duty, this is honeymoon practice.”
Director (glaring): “For the last time, Khurana—work, not flirting. Pack your bags. You leave tomorrow.”

Journey to Ooty

The six of them—RK, RL, Angad, Pranati, Pihu, and Aradhana—piled into the jeep. The road wound through misty hills, cool breeze whipping their hair.

RK insisted on singing loudly, Angad clapped out of time, and RL quietly admired the view.

Pranati (plugging her ears): “RK, please. Spare us your ‘talent’.”
RK (grinning): “This is called soulful singing. You’re just jealous because your heart skipped a beat.”
Pranati (smirking): “Yes, skipped a beat from shock.”

Everyone laughed.

At the Venue

The venue was a grand estate with sprawling lawns and a view of the Nilgiri hills.

  • RL was assigned the main kitchen.

  • RK handled guest interaction.

  • Angad managed entertainment.

The girls joined as helpers—Pranati with floral décor, Pihu managing props, and Aradhana documenting everything for her portfolio.

Scene 1 – RK & Pranati: Flower Chaos

Pranati was arranging marigold garlands when RK sneaked behind her.

RK (whispering dramatically): “Even these flowers bow before your beauty.”
Pranati (without turning): “Careful, or I’ll tie you up in these garlands and hang you on the gate.”
RK (grinning): “At least I’ll be close to you.”

He reached for the flowers, only to trip over the ladder. Both tumbled into a pile of petals, glaring and blushing at the same time.

Scene 2 – Angad & Pihu: Prop Fiasco

Pihu was stacking cushions when Angad popped a balloon behind her. She shrieked, smacking him with a cushion.

Pihu (angry): “You idiot! You scared me.”
Angad (grinning): “Your scream was music to my ears.”
Pihu (rolling eyes): “Then let me make you deaf.”

They fought with cushions until both collapsed laughing, petals and feathers flying everywhere.

Scene 3 – RL & Aradhana: Quiet Connection

In the kitchen, RL was stressed about the main course. Aradhana walked in, sketchbook in hand.

Aradhana (gently): “You’ve been frowning for hours. Take a breath.”
RL (sighing): “If this dish fails, the whole wedding suffers.”
Aradhana (smiling softly): “It won’t. Because you care, that’s why it will be perfect.”

Her quiet confidence steadied him. RL looked at her, warmth in his eyes.

The Song Sequence

As preparations settled, evening mist covered the hills. The group stole a moment to relax on the lawn.

🎵 Song Cue: “Hum Jo Chalne Lage” (Jab We Met, 2007) 🎵

  • RK and Pranati bickered playfully while stringing garlands, petals falling on them as they laughed.

  • Angad chased Pihu through the mist, both tumbling on the grass before lying breathless, staring at the stars.

  • RL and Aradhana walked slowly along the hillside, silence speaking louder than words, smiles lingering in the cool breeze.

The song ended with all six of them sitting by a bonfire, their laughter mingling with the crackling flames.

The Twist

Just then, the wedding organizer rushed to them.

Organizer (panicked): “Disaster! The chief guest is arriving early, and the food isn’t ready!”

RL jumped up instantly, RK straightened his jacket, and Angad rolled his sleeves.

RL: “Don’t worry. We’ll handle it.”
RK (grinning): “Operation Shaadi Mission—begin!”
Angad (saluting): “Captain Angad at your service!”

The girls exchanged amused, worried glances—but deep inside, they trusted the boys completely.

Chapter 20 – Dreams, Love & New Beginnings

The morning of the wedding dawned misty and golden over Ooty. The sprawling estate buzzed with decorators, musicians, and chefs. The pressure was immense—the client was a business tycoon, and one mistake could ruin reputations.

For RK, RL, and Angad, this was the test of their careers.

The Kitchen – RL’s Moment

Inside the massive kitchen, RL worked with calm intensity, directing juniors with quiet authority.

Junior Chef: “Sir, the biryani stock is low.”
RL (firm but composed): “Double the basmati, reduce the saffron—it’ll balance. Trust me.”

Aradhana slipped in, watching him manage everything like a seasoned professional.

Aradhana (softly, smiling): “You look… at home here.”
RL (without looking up): “Because this is what I was meant to do. But you being here makes it easier.”

Their eyes met briefly before RL returned to his dish, but his heart raced.

The Hospitality Desk – RK’s Charm

Outside, RK greeted the early guests in his trademark filmy style, but this time with restraint.

Guest (impressed): “Young man, you handle people so effortlessly. Are you the manager?”
RK (smiling confidently): “Not yet. But one day, you’ll hear my name as one.”

Pranati, passing by with flower trays, overheard and stopped.

Pranati (teasing): “Finally, some sense in your words. Maybe you’re not hopeless after all.”
RK (grinning): “Hopelessly in love, maybe. With you.”

She blushed, hiding it with a glare, but he caught the soft curve of her lips.

The Banquet Hall – Angad’s Chaos

Angad was in charge of entertainment and seating. Predictably, chaos followed.

Pihu (scolding): “Angad! The bride’s side is supposed to sit on the left, not the right!”
Angad (scratching his head): “Left, right… why can’t love just unite everyone in the middle?”

Pihu (furious): “This is not a Bollywood wedding! Do your work properly.”
Angad (suddenly serious, stepping close): “When you shout at me like this, Pihu… I feel alive. Maybe because… you’ve become my work, my world.”

Pihu’s eyes widened, her anger softening. She turned away quickly, heart thumping.

The Crisis

As the ceremony neared, disaster struck—the power went out. The banquet lights died, music stopped, panic spread among guests.

The director turned pale.

Director: “We’re finished! The client will throw us out!”

But the trio leapt into action.

  • RL lit up the kitchen with emergency lamps, ensuring food continued smoothly.

  • Angad dashed to the control room, fixing wires with Pihu holding a flashlight, both laughing nervously.

  • RK, instead of panicking, pulled out his phone, started humming loudly, and clapped in rhythm—soon guests joined in, clapping and singing to keep spirits high.

Within minutes, lights flickered back on. The disaster had turned into an impromptu moment of joy.

The Climax Song

As the wedding couple exchanged garlands, music soared. The entire group gathered outside under fairy lights.

🎵 Song Cue: “Dil Dhadakne Do” (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, 2011) 🎵

  • RK danced around Pranati, playfully mimicking her scolding expressions, until she broke into laughter and joined him.

  • Angad pulled Pihu onto the dance floor, both spinning clumsily, collapsing into each other’s arms. For once, she didn’t pull away.

  • RL and Aradhana swayed slowly at the edge, their smiles saying more than words.

The whole lawn lit up with dancing, laughter, and applause.

The Resolution

Later, the director gathered the trio.

Director (beaming): “I’m proud of you. Despite chaos, you handled yourselves like professionals. The investors were impressed. From today—your positions are confirmed.”

The boys exchanged stunned, joyful glances.

RK (grinning): “So… no more internships?”
Director: “No. Now you’re permanent. The hotel is yours to shine in.”

They hugged each other tightly, laughter echoing into the night.

Final Confessions

Under the stars, each love story found its moment.

  • RK & Pranati
RK cornered her near the flower stand.
RK (serious for once): “Pranati… no more jokes. I love you. Truly.”
Pranati paused, then placed a rose in his hand.
Pranati (smiling softly): “Hopelessly… I love you too.”

  • Angad & Pihu
Pihu tried to leave, but Angad grabbed her wrist.
Angad: “Kidney stones were fake. But this… this pain is real. I can’t live without you.”
Pihu’s eyes filled with tears as she hit his chest lightly.
Pihu: “Idiot. You finally said it.”
They hugged, laughter and tears mingling.

  • RL & Aradhana
    RL found Aradhana sketching alone.
RL: “You always capture the world so beautifully… Will you let me be part of yours?”
    Aradhana looked up, smiling softly.

Aradhana: “Only if you promise never to stop listening.”

He took her hand silently, sealing the promise.

Epilogue

The wedding ended in fireworks lighting up the Ooty sky. The trio stood with the girls by their side, hands intertwined, hearts settled.

Dreams had brought them to Pondicherry. Friendship carried them to Chennai. Love followed them to Ooty.

And now, both careers and hearts were finally home.

Chapter 21 – Shaadi Mubarak!

The grand choultry in Chennai was decked up like a palace. Strings of jasmine and marigold hung from the ceiling, the air heavy with the fragrance of roses. The hotel staff bustled around, proud to be guests and helpers at their own managers’ weddings.

Three mandaps stood side by side, each glowing with lights and flowers.

Scene 1 – The Families Arrive

Shantanu and Isha arrived first, blessing their son Reyansh Khurana.
Isha (tearfully): “You finally found the one to handle your madness, beta.”
RK (grinning): “Correction, Mom—she didn’t handle it, she joined it.”

Pranati, radiant in red silk, blushed and bowed before them.

Next came Vivek and Kadambari, blessing Reyansh Lamba.
Vivek (proudly): “You’ve always been calm and steady, son. Aradhana is lucky.”
RL (smiling gently): “No, Papa. I’m lucky she chose me.”

Aradhana, in a pastel lehenga, touched their feet shyly.

Then Tej and Jhanvi entered, blessing Angad.
Tej (hugging him): “You may joke around, but today, you’ve become a man.”
Angad (winking): “And a husband too. Double promotion, Dad!”

Pihu giggled as Jhanvi hugged her warmly.

Finally, Malini arrived, tears streaming as she saw both her daughters becoming brides.

Malini: “My little girls… you’ve grown into women. Today, I give you away with a full heart.”

Scene 2 – The Rituals

The pandits began chanting.

  • At one mandap, RK and Pranati circled the sacred fire, RK sneaking in winks between mantras.

  • At the second, RL and Aradhana exchanged serene glances, their silence more powerful than words.

  • At the third, Angad cracked jokes mid-ritual, making even the pandit chuckle, while Pihu blushed furiously.

As mangalsutras were tied and sindoor adorned their foreheads, conch shells blew, and the entire hall erupted in applause.

Scene 3 – The Guests

The hotel staff cheered loudly, throwing petals. The director, proud as ever, addressed everyone.

Director: “They joined us as interns, now they stand here as not only managers but as husbands, wives, and role models. Today, our hotel gained three families.”

The crowd clapped, parents beamed, and the brides blushed.

The Grand Song

As the rituals ended, music blared.

🎵 Song Cue: “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna” (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, 1995) 🎵

  • RK lifted Pranati’s veil, dancing around her with exaggerated filmi moves until she broke into laughter and joined him.

  • Angad pulled Pihu to the center, twirling her clumsily while she hit him playfully with her bangles.

  • RL, though shy, took Aradhana’s hand and led her gracefully, both swaying in quiet elegance.

Parents clapped, hotel staff whistled, and even the pandit joined in clapping rhythm.

Scene 4 – The Farewell

As the brides prepared to leave, Malini hugged Pranati and Pihu tightly.
Malini (weeping): “My home feels empty, but my heart is full. Promise me you’ll always stay close.”
RK, RL, and Angad knelt before her.
RK: “You’ll never lose your daughters, Aunty.”
RL: “You’ve gained three sons instead.”
Angad (grinning): “And a free lifetime of hotel discounts.”

Everyone laughed through tears.

Final Scene – The Promise

Outside the choultry, the three couples stood together, garlands around their necks, hands intertwined. Fireworks lit up the night sky.

RK (raising his hand): “From today, three friends, three couples, one family.”
RL (smiling): “We’ll face life’s storms together.”
Angad (winking): “And party after every storm.”

Their brides laughed, their parents clapped, and the entire hall echoed with joy.

The screen faded on their smiling faces, bound by friendship, love, and dreams finally fulfilled.

Epilogue – Home Away From H

ome

A year after the grand triple wedding, life had settled beautifully.

The hotel management had been so impressed with RK, RL, and Angad during the Ooty assignment that they offered the trio permanent positions at the new branch of the same hotel in Coimbatore.

Scene 1 – The Relocation

RK, RL, and Angad sat together in the director’s office.

Director (smiling): “We want you three to head the new branch. Same brand, same reputation—but closer to a homely town atmosphere. What do you say?”

The three exchanged excited looks.

RK (grinning): “New city, new girls to flirt with—oh wait, wrong line. New city, old wives to romance.”
Angad (laughing): “And new guests to irritate—I mean, entertain.”
RL (serene): “It’s not about the city, sir. It’s about carrying our dream forward. We accept.”

Scene 2 – Families Come Along

To their joy, Malini decided to relocate too.

Malini (to her daughters): “How can I stay behind? If you are moving, I will too. After all, a mother’s heart can’t live far from her children.”

Pranati and Pihu hugged her tightly. RK and Angad touched her feet.

Soon after, Aradhana’s parents, Bhakti and Harsh Sahni, also agreed to move.

Bhakti (smiling): “If our daughter has found her family here, we will not stay away. Let’s build a new life together.”

Scene 3 – The New Branch

The Coimbatore branch opened with great pomp.

  • RL became the Head Chef, running the kitchen with quiet dignity, Aradhana by his side, sketching new menus.

  • RK took charge as Guest Relations Manager, charming clients (with Pranati keeping his ego in check).

  • Angad led the Events & Entertainment Department, with Pihu managing accounts, constantly scolding him but secretly loving his chaos.

Malini often came by with home-cooked food for everyone, turning the hotel into an extended family home. Aradhana’s parents joined cultural events, making the staff feel more like a community.

Scene 4 – Togetherness

Every evening, after long shifts, the six of them gathered in Malini’s new home.

  • RK teased Pranati while pretending to help in the kitchen.

  • Angad fought with Pihu over the TV remote.

  • RL and Aradhana quietly sipped tea on the balcony, content in each other’s silence.

Malini watched them all, her heart swelling.

Malini (to herself): “This is what I prayed for. My daughters near me, my sons treating me like a mother, and a family that only grows stronger with time.”

Closing Scene

One night, as fireworks burst outside during a festival, the whole family—RK & Pranati, RL & Aradhana, Angad & Pihu, along with Malini, Bhakti, and Harsh—stood together on the terrace.

RK (raising his hand): “We started as interns, as strangers. Today, we are one family.”
Angad (smiling): “A little crazy, a lot loving.”
RL (softly, looking at Aradhana): “And always together.”

They clasped hands, laughter and love filling the night air.

The camera panned out to show the hotel glowing in lights, a true nest of dreams where careers and families thrived side by side.

Years Later

It had been five years since the weddings. The Coimbatore branch of the hotel was now one of the most successful properties in the chain—thanks to the trio who had turned their dreams into reality.

Scene 1 – The Hotel Legacy

Guests often said that this hotel was “different.”

  • The food carried RL’s signature warmth and artistry, Aradhana guiding him with fresh ideas.

  • RK charmed every client with his wit, though Pranati always ensured his feet stayed firmly on the ground.

  • Angad’s lively shows and events made the place vibrant, while Pihu’s sharp accounts kept the business thriving.

Scene 2 – A Homely Hotel

The hotel didn’t just feel like a workplace—it was home. Malini had her own quarters near the property, where she often prepared traditional meals for the staff. Aradhana’s parents too were active in the cultural programs, making guests feel like part of the family.

Scene 3 – The Next Generation

The sound of laughter echoed in the lobby as little feet ran across the marble floors.

  • RK and Pranati’s son, Aarav, was busy pulling flowers from a vase and handing them to everyone, saying, “Papa says flowers are for romance!”

  • RL and Aradhana’s daughter, Anaya, shyly sketched cakes on tissue papers, dreaming of becoming a pastry chef.

  • Angad and Pihu’s twins, Kabir and Kaira, were up to their usual mischief—one hiding the hotel bell, the other ringing it nonstop.

Guests adored them, calling them the “hotel’s little mascots.”

Scene 4 – The Family Evening

Every evening, the families gathered in the garden, the kids playing while the couples shared tea.

Malini (smiling at the chaos): “See? My nest of dreams is complete.”
Bhakti (nodding): “Yes, and the nest keeps growing.”

RK pulled Pranati close, Angad teased Pihu about her scolding, RL quietly smiled at Aradhana’s soft gaze.

The camera panned out to show the hotel shining in twilight, laughter floating in the air.
