Some philosophy and a long post which I didn't want to write. Irrational maybe rational for the person whose brain is fogged by deception, lies, abandonment, betrayal and the trauma they are living through for years.

We are able to make judgements because we have additional information from story perspective which Mannat and Vikrant do not have.

Were Vikrant's dialogues about money and asking Mannat to stay in SM out of line absolutely yes. Does Mannat have an option to walk out, absolutely Yes. Mannat already made a decision and threatened Neetu to never meet Vikrant which degraded her health further. Still Mannat didn't change her decision about Neetu meeting Vikrant which was her last wish. We didn't call Mannat ruthless did we, because this was for Dua. So, why not walk out now?

Do we think when Mannat finds out Malla fooled her while she was waiting for Vikrant with divorce papers, she wouldn't see where Vikrant's anger was coming from, do we think when Vikrant realizes why Mannat was so hurt at the funeral, Vikrant won't understand Mannat's anger ? Would we only want Vikrant to understand what Mannat went through but not Mannat understanding what Vikrant went through?

At the moment all I see is writers are actually giving parallels between Mannat and Vikrant and how both were/are wrong. However, Mannat being the fl and a mother audience end up justifying everything Mannat does and automatically sympathize with her because of the audience ratio between females: males. It's like Vikrant being ml and a gender who cannot conceive also works against him.

I will give 2 more examples why I brought up female audience being the majority and how we always react in favor of fl. 1) We crucified Vikrant for forgiving Malla and trusting her, fair enough, when Mannat forgave ARS for murder, attempted murder, promising not to reveal assault attempt on herself, did the audience react? Infact we felt bad for Mannat, because ARS was fooling her. 2) when Vikrant lied about fake engagement we crucified Vikrant though he fell for Malla's true friend promises & that she was Mannat's friend & never sympathized with him vs when Mannat planned to lie, keep Vikrant in dark about his identity, the crimes RoTu did we defended Mannat saying it's for Vikrant's benefit.

Trust , We hear Mannat's dialogue Vikrant never trusted her and hail Mannat, but we ignore the fact Vikrant trusted Mannat up until Mannat herself confirmed she lied after the video played and was planning to keep lying to him his whole life.

I/we make fun of writers for lack of creativity , but have to say writers keep the balance between Mannat and Vikrant in what they do, how they react. We react to scenes differently between Mannat and Vikrant. We can call them names and anything else but hoping the writers have plan to clear this whole mess out eventually 🤞🙈 . I am going to enjoy the episodes finally with ManVik, AdSha after 2.5 months of torture & hits and misses.

Will add something which stuck me and made me write this post by @Betty 🤩

All these don't justify Vikrant REPEATEDLY CAing Mannat.

He has crossed the limits honestly.

Vikrant has been wronged, manipulated, still being played by the snakes, still knows only half truths, he is hurt, angry, I understand his POV completely.

But this tendency to be so venomous out of anger & continuously CA her is something I will never be okay with. Its mentally exhausting. And this is not the 1st time he has done. He has done this before. But we have forgiven those & moved on thinking from the perspective of the situation that he has been lied or manipulated.

Disagree thodi na koi kar raha hai..she will be the first to melt. We all know that.

I dont know why it is being implied so many times that we as viewers only want Vikrant to understand Mannat & not the other way round as well.

Vikrant majority of the times in pre leap got leeway. We as viewers kept on forgiving him. While Malla inspitte of killing people, attempt to rape still gets to stay in SM, her words her still taken seriously by him but one truth hidden by Mannat makes Vikrant go mad that he doesnt even try to listen to her once even after she repeatedly begged her (Yes again agree the truth was the biggest one & a life altering one & any person knowing that wouldn't be able to behave rationally but when he was sitting alone near the pool & Mannat came to him to talk to her tab bhi he didnot allow her to tell her point)

Jab Vik ke side si hi understanding prope na ho then why people expect from Mannat to put all efforts

I agree and I said the same, offering money was wrong & Mannat has the option to walk away.

However, this is not what the writers want now, they want to keep the MU, conflict between ManVik and also bring Mannat to SM to finally move the story. If Vikrant gives the money without any condition how will the story move forward?

When Mannat compared Vikrant with his brother, he said you are replacing me in everything & CA which made the audience angry. Did Mannat actually believe he CA her at this point?

This is why I highlighted Betty's comment , they know eachother and it's there love story irrespective of how we judge them and their actions/reactions.

Mona, I highlighted a few pre-leap scenes of Mannat and Vikrant , that writers are actually highlighting both their actions/reactions equally, however audience reaction is different for similar scenes.

The post wasn't meant to be Mannat vs Vikrant or if Vikrant is wrong or Mannat is wrong or Vikrant is right or Mannat is right or what we are expecting Mannat and Vikrant to do.

Unable to agree with the fact that Mannat as FL gets sympathy due to audience having higher female ratio.

If that was actually the case then there wouldn't have been any uproar when Vikrant got sexually assaulted so many times. This get talked about till date. We ourselves have dissed the makers so many times for not giving Vikrant any justice. Till date we all find Malla's character nauseating because of the very reason.

Also If female ratio had to be the major thing then Adnan as Vikrant’s character wouldn't have got so much love till now. Even today he is at no. 1. Its not only about him essaying the role so well but also the way his character has been written so far. Quite flawed but relatable.

2 examples which u stated -

--> Yes Mannat did the mistake and when she got to know she owned it, rectified it. She didn’t wait for anyone to help her out. She herself went all out against ARS but Vikrant even after knowing how Malla is after what all she did he still went on to say pre-leap that whatever she did was out of love for him. Lol. Even today she is enjoying all the benefits.

2) when Vikrant lied about fake engagement we crucified Vikrant though he fell for Malla's true friend promises & that...

--> During fake marriage also Vikrant still had viewers sympathy. Makers executed his part quite well. He did fake rituals with Malla & got bashed here in the forum & on X but that ONS changed everything's for him. All the audiences including us were on his side and we sympathized him. He was not even that much crucified the way Mannat gets every now & then and that entire plot got balanced. But incase of RoTu & Aman truth, Mannat got crucified the most.

Woh toh har couple mei fights hota hai na. And out of anger, the partner does say some spiteful things to the other partner but the question is how long ?

Matlab if Vikrant's situations is never solved is he forever going to be like this to her & not for once try to know what had actually happen 7 yrs back ? (considering hypothetically 1 secret atleast comes out)

Thats were my problem is. Mannat par gussa about hidding RoTu Aman truth is one thing & continously CAing her is another. Relationships can never work like this in the name of eternal love. Thats all crap.

That statement was extremely in bad taste. Thankfully Dua or Yuvi didn't hear all these.

Where the writers are blindsided with Vik's character is how they forget to show him from all directions. I have been saying this from early episodes. They did not unfortunately build his character independent of Mannat. He was written "in reaction" or "in association" with Mannat. What is he before Mannat. What is he with others. What defines him? All these details are missing. With Mannat's character they did this job fairly well...even in the early promotions as I remember we get to know Mannat loves her mother, she is a jugaad, she will bend around the rules to get things done, playful yet honest etc. They showed how she deals with the world around her. It was consistent atleast till she entered SM for goddamn reasons. The entire SM setup where everyone lives is such a blow to the story to begin with, because home itself is a character in ITV stories. I will not get there...

Let me give one latest example. I came across this comment in X on the mannat tag. I cant find it now. For Vik, Yashika is loving him genuinely. Then if he is not interested in her, and using her to only Jellofy Mannat and tomorrow if he breaks the promise with her, how will you define him. So he is the boss and can do whaterver?!! Ofcourse the writers think that audience knows Yashika is a crook so it doesnt matter. But for your ML she is a living human thing with honesty...so he has to deal with her like a true man deals with a woman! To make him validated, the writers will just expose Yashika's truth so he is excused from making a moral decision. Thats how they are writing their ML. He cannot make a decision which comes from within...for others. Then how will he make a good decision for Yuvi or Dua or Mannat? Give that "core" to the character...and even if he disappoints sometimes as every human being is bound to do..., the "core" will connect to the audience IFFFF writers know how to use it and repeatedly bring it forth. Write scenes again and again to show how he behaves independently. I think it is too late for that now.
