No Steve Smith for Australia but Marsh is back at the top of the order. There's a change at the top for Sri Lanka as well, with Kusal Perera replacing the out of touch Mishara.

Marsh: All okay, ready to go tonight. It's a big game, every game comes with great responsibility. Weren't at our best last game. Myself, Cooper Connolly and Xavier Bartlett come in.

Shanaka: We're going to bowl first. One of the most important games in the comp. One change - Kusal Perera comes in for Mishara.

Pitch and Conditions | Matthew Hayden and Russel Arnold: Beautiful clear air, 24 degrees. 66 meters on one side, 68 on the other. 80 meters down the ground. 550 meters above sea level. It's a good pitch. You don't come to SL and expect to see a pitch without turn. Don't ask anymore. It will turn ever so slightly. It's a used pitch. You can see places with wear and tear which are patched up. Good covering of grass. Nice and hard. There's a lot more grass in line with the stumps than outside. There can be slight variable turn or pace on offer. Still think you can play your shots and enjoy yourself on this pitch.

Hello and welcome to Match 30, the result of which is of great consequence in Group B. It's now or never for Australia if they want to keep their fate in their own hands. The shock loss to Zimbabwe has truly stirred the pot and it's all to play for here in Pallekele. All eyes will be on whether captain Mitchell Marsh makes a return from injury. He's yet to take the field in this tournament, but he did take part in the training session yesterday and seemed to be hitting the ball well. If ever Australia need their captain, it's now, having looked lackluster in the opening couple of games.

Live visuals show Steve Smith doing some catching practice. He was called in as injury cover for Marsh and is now officially part of the squad in place of the injured Josh Hazlewood.. Let's see how things unfold.

Sri Lanka arrive after a commanding win over Oman at this same venue. It was a day game where they were put into bat and smashed 225. The true test for them, though, begins here, first with a game against Australia and then against Zimbabwe. A win today will take them into the next round while a loss will complicate things.
