Saiteja Mukkamalla tuned up for this World Cup at the Chennai Super Kings Academy, and played for their sister franchise Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket. Deiva Muthu has the full backstory here.

Mukkamalla: it's always a great opportunity to represent the USA, and I just wanted to come out here and enjoy it, especially at this venue. I've always watched (matches at Chepauk) growing up, so I just wanted to come out and express myself. (On a large crowd in today) It's incredible. As you know, playing in India is an incredible feeling, and just being here today in front of thousands was something that I dreamed of as a kid. (On the surface) It was a bit tricky, the wicket was holding up a bit and the ball also was swinging. So it was a bit tough to get the timing in, but I feel like we got a good total on the board. There might be a bit of dew. We have the bowlers to defend this. I feel we have got an above-par total.

8.35pm: This will take some chasing. USA lost Jahangir early on but Saiteja Mukkamalla, back in the side at No. 3, played superbly for his 79 off 51 balls before Shubham Ranjane's unbeaten 48 off 24 propelled them to 196. Logan van Beek outstanding for the Dutch at the death, and Bas de Leede struck three times through the middle.

The Dutch have started playing!!

Harmeet Singh to Max O'Dowd, out caught by Milind Kumar!! Max O'Dowd holes out. A flat, good-length delivery outside off keeps a tad low. O'Dowd goes on the back foot to pull, fails to get the elevation and Milind at the edge of the ring at mid-on takes it on the reverse cup. Max O'Dowd c Milind Kumar b Harmeet Singh 13(11) [4s-1]

Lakshman Kumar: "If the Dutch lose today, that would almost wipe out their chances of making it to the Super8s with the Ind-Pak match eating away one place in the Super8s.!" Yep, the dream would be as good as over, with India still to come

Netherlands Innings

7.6 Mohammad Mohsin to ZB Lion-Cachet, OUT

Played on! Netherlands in freefall now! It's the googly from Mohsin, doesn't turn much, but just holds up outside off, as Lion-Cachet plays for the turn, off the back foot. HIs attempted cut zips off the under-edge of his bat, into the stumps. This is one-way traffic now

Zach Lion-Cachet b Mohammad Mohsin 6 (5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 120
