♛✧ Mr. and Mrs Parshuram: Episode Discussion Thread #1 ✧♛ - Page 9

I liked the last two episodes especially the last episode. Loved the compassionate moment of Shalini and shiv. For once kids were out of their picture. Now the family dynamics have settled down. Slowly the actress playing Shalini is getting stability. Also the kids are good additions. I have two main issues with the show : one is the accent and second is the moving camera.

Episode # 5 & 6:

Finally caught up with yesterday and today 's episode 😎

My my! Shalini is up to something fishy 🧐.. either she is doing some spying of her own, may be on Shiv🤔, or perhaps meeting her family members without Shiv's knowledge.. but why would she do that🧐.. whatever she is hiding, she is good at changing the topic to avoid further questions from Shiv and kids. Her rant about kabootar Khana and all is part of her strategy for the same. But she did leave luxury for modest living and Shiv acknowledged that. But Shiv is doubtful of her actions which shows probably he is aware of her shenanigans 🧐

The family scenes are all way too heartening and I really love them🥰. The way kids protect their dad, the way they sleep on either side of him and analyse their parents' love for each other 🥰😍👌.. Shalini coming to the party, making place for herself and admiring the pictures😍.. Shiv taking pride in his daughter's photography talent is just too adorable 🥰. These scenes are so relatable and beautifully done as well👌💯

As expected, Shalini's relatives are involved in some shady and illegal activities. It's intriguing that we have so far not been shown Shiv interacting with any of them directly 🧐. Today he spoke to Shalini's uncle as Babbar. He spoke to Shalini's sister as if they are very distant and seldom interact with each other.🧐

Parshuram's bhelpuri and the chase that followed were great 👍 😄. His gloating about his wife and children to Balraj were adorable 🥰. His heart is entirely in his family structure 💯🥰 and his mind is on his duty😎

The romantic scene today starting with kids trying to peek in and Shalini shutting them out for some privacy was done really well 😍.. Shalini pulling Shiv inside and him pulling her into him and listening to her bickering, his 'my cute tigress' and surprising her with the mangalsutra was way too romantic 🫣 and I felt I was peeking into the private moments of a couple😍🥰💯. We have rarely seen Shalini smiling and shying away at Shiv till now and she is doing well 😍💯.

I didn't notice anything wierd 🧐.. maybe because I move more than the camera while watching .. that's also the reason why I miss many details and names most of the times

You're right, they use too much effect and camera movements to give those overdramatic effect. I am not fond of those, but whatever.

I am honestly loving Neil in this show! So, yeah actors are ot an issue. But Shiv's character really needs lot of development I feel. People from lower middle class are stingy for sure, but they are not as irresponsible.

Best suited was his reaction to the cost of perfume, and yes no people with that financial constraint will buy perfume worth 3500. I might still need time to get used to family side of the role, but Parshuram seems exciting!!!

@bold- you know I am beginning to think Shiv is not as middle or lower middle class as they have portrayed. Today he gifted his wife a costlier than before mangalsutra.. I think he is just pretending to be stingy as a part of his cover. The valentine's promo shows him wearing pricy outfit to surprise his wife. The other day he came in a bus to the party to make sure his in-laws or someone notices him getting out of a bus. He is projecting that image. He pretends to be stingy but his children are allowed to order costly stuff online. Even in the restaurant promo I felt its not that they don't have the money but its just that he doesn't want to be seen spending too much.

And about Shalini being a spy, I agree.. she is playing her own spy games. And I am sure Shiv and Shalini both know about each other's true professions. May be they just agreed to be as committed to their family life as they can be and don't appreciate when the other deviates from the commitment. Hence we see Shalini firing off on Shiv and Shiv asking her to be truthful. Their dynamics as a couple and as parents is intriguing and seems to have more layers than we are being shown.

the show has produced advocate anjali and similar camera handling incidents have been observed there too...by camera movements, if you compare other shows, they are linear,in one straight direction...over, here its like the camera is fidgeting in circular motions and therefore looking unstable..unless whoever is editing the shots, is adding effects to the scenes on the video making softwares...

Ok.. I haven't watched the show you are mentioning. But will try to observe camera movements from tomorrow.

btw, I was surprised there was a Sat, Sun episodes for such a new show! Colors new shows are generally off on weekends.

What I didn't like is Shalini's cribbing about a life she chose. I know it's to hide her cover and avoid further questioning, but I didn’t like that she blamed Shiv for her misfortunes of being a middle class from a rich household. Shiv was calm handling her there. He's doing mehnat to provide a comfortable life and even saving money to buy a house also. So they should improve such points.

I have been having quite some concerns for last week's episode with writing for all three of them: Shiv, Shalini and Parshuram.

Shiv seemed to be accusing Shalini of lying or hiding something .. which is fine, but he should not have done that in front of children. He pulled them to him and sort of questioned/requested her to not keep any secret. I think they could have avoided having children in the scene there.

Second, was of course Shalini's dialgoue on staying in small household. So, not needed even if it's just to protect the cover or whatever. It was really mean and cruel, kind of disrespectful to repeat what her mother said.

Lastly, the scene where Parshuram is talking to colleagues and they asked how is he talking to family? So, it sort of translated, he is fooling them with greed of 2% commission on 2 crore deal.

Honestly, even today when Shalini was angry and she kept ranting on how she fasted for a good husband, who turned out like Shiv was really annoying!! She has that rich/bratty attitude.
