This is why he is disgusted by karan too since the mandira connection.
I guess only karan and gautamand angad stood up for tulsi against mihir's noina kaand
Karan:Before leap taunted mihir for him betraying tulsi second time.He wouldnt want her to go back
Angad:Is angry at mihir too and wouldnt want her to be back with viranis
Gautam:Shaded mihir in his resentment of his parents but wouldnt care of what tulsi does with mihir
Shobha, pari and ritik are mostly thinking that tulsi will be back with mihir and have a la la la happily ever after.
Gautam is probably a proper grey character.
Tuhir dont have any fault in what happened with his marriage tho.Gautam is very complex.
Yep.
Gautam is grey. He has his good qualities and bad ones. Days when he’s an absolute mess to deal with and days when he knows what’s best/right and can stand by it.
I don’t entirely agree with him on everything but I think he’s not an evil person underneath. He is a broken person who had to go through a terrible childhood and who discovers that his parents could have ensured he didn’t suffer that needlessly. He was commodified in a manner when he was a mere toddler and his agency was stripped away from him by his own parents. His adoptive parents wouldn’t and couldn’t give him the kind of love that he was owed, worse they ended up damaging him. He has to recalibrate his whole identity as an adult after learning he has this massive family where he could have had loving parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. It’s not easy. Then there are the ugly family secrets and shocking scandals that keep on coming. On a personal level too he has to be messed up owing to his love life.
Then Karan further gives him low self esteem issues involuntarily just by being more headstrong and resilient.
Gautam in his heart knows that if he experienced parental love for the first time in his life it was from Tulsi. She didn’t coddle him always, she treated him as an adult, made sure to draw a line where he was asked to take accountability for his behaviour and actions while also being asked to live up to certain standards, rules and expectations.
Gautam had flown from Australia to India and neither Aarti nor Kiran even knew about it. They were so irresponsible regarding his whereabouts that they had no clue their son had left the country!
Here Tulsi would cook his favourite things as she learned his likes and dislikes, include him in family gatherings and celebrations, task him with work when needed, provide him with gifts when the occasion called for it. Could scold him without shouting, yelling, raising her voice or hand at him but would do that too if he truly left her with no choice.
In short, Gautam finally knew what having a mum was like. How she could be the most loving person in the world and also the strictest.
He learned what’s it like to be loved, finally.
So I was not surprised by him shading Mihir there. He definitely knew how his mother didn’t deserve this again but because he’s mad at her too, he didn’t say it openly.
Shobha and Hrithik are just….
Pari was never expected to call Mihir out given she was Noina’s accomplice.
Honestly the Kapadia siblings literally have no idea how easy a life they had when compared to actual Viranis. So yeah, I also don’t mind Gautam rubbing it in everyone’s faces openly that Pari being his cousin by blood and adoptive sister doesn’t mean that they instantly share a bond which makes it obligatory for him to owe his loyalties to her.
Loyalties are earned and not demanded or expected just because you share a common surname. Pari couldn’t be loyal to the people who raised her, especially her mom… so it’s ridiculous to expect that Gautam should care about a sister who hardly matters to him. She made no efforts from her end to even know him but believes he must care about her? Why? Because that’s expected from him?
Also since Gautam knows about Pari’s Stree Dhan situation, he likely knows about how Mihir was such a prat that he would entrust Pari with their ancestral property. Pari likely never even met Baa in this timeline! Gautam did!
He has to feel hurt and angry that even when his dad decided to ask Karan to transfer Baa’s home to another family member in his hubris.. he would do that for Pari but not Gautam or his children.
Gautam is right to be angry about that. He might forgive being slighted and ignored by everyone but as a father… he has to be hurt that his children were ignored too. It’s not necessarily even about the valuation of a property/asset that’s being inherited… it’s about being acknowledged, valued and loved enough to be remembered as an heir.
Pari wanted that place for her selfish reasons to sell it off and lead a lavish lifestyle from that money which she was never entitled to.
Gautam wanted a part of the inheritance, if not for himself but his children simply so he knew he was remembered, valued and mattered. That he was loved enough to have been mentioned as someone worth giving one last gift from a departed family member as a token of love, affection and blessings.
She can never be Tulsi ki parchai 😭 Ganga and Nandini, yesOriginally posted by: FlauntPessimism
I understood what you meant.
But I gave the actual reason. it was simply that she is a girl and makers want a Tulsi ki parchai in this show.
Shobha doesn't fit that block now
She will likely say both of her parents as she seems to love her father tooOriginally posted by: SlatePencil
Judge should ask Garima with whom she wants to stay. No kid deserves to stay with such a monster even for a second.

wow this is so detailed and insightful. Actually makers should take this view. The reason for Gautam 's issues is also his insecurities and not being as excellent as Karan.. That he tries to conceal with a thought that Karan was favoured.
About Gautam Damini that entire track seemed so off to me, yes he did maintain a meaningful and respectful distance with Damini till she didn't consent but what else??
Why did he even link Teesha's death to Karan? Remaining how is marrying the girl any revenge even if Karan was responsible. I mean Karan hardly bothered. He immediately took that episode for his advantage making Damini his spy in SN. Even when Damini decided to give her relation with Gautam a chance, Karan was fine. He had been amused with Nandani even before he entered SN. Damini was at most a beautiful chapter of his past.. He had already once let go Damini, that happening second time was nothing huge. Rather it was an injustice to Gautam 's love to Teesha.
On that note, I never understood the relation between Damini and Karan. Were they really in love?? No one can move on so easily the way they did. Within a month or so of Damini moving on, Karan was enjoying with Nandani (he never could move on from Nandani after her marriage even before he knew she was being mistreated in the marriage) Damini was making peace with Gautam within months. They didn't even give us a proper journey for Damini Gautam
Probably Damini was never loved by either. She was an infatuation for Karan and wife to move on for Gautam
For Damini before Gautam it was the family that attracted her. She loved this family and didn't want to leave. That was one place where Gautam surpassed Karan by miles. But later not only Karan entered the same family, he became the favourite.. He got everything that Damini would have thought Gautam will get, to top that Gautam never thought much while doing wrong. Damini regretting her decision was probably normal..
Makers Should take this cue. Especially if Hiten is really returning. They can also Karan taking care of Gautam's children further infuriating Gautam
Thank you
Frankly I think they rushed the Karan Damini track so much that it seemed so haphazard. She popped up one day when she had him bailed from jail and Saahil found out that Karan had a relationship with her which surprised him. It means that Karan had never spoken with Saahil about his relationship history. They were introduced as best friends and yet they never discussed past relationships, crushes, feelings?
I don’t know.
Even though they had Karan Damini reconnect to the point where they would decide to marry you could clearly tell that their scenes were not treated with the kind of treatment that one reserves for a romantic relationship. It was strange… perhaps as the writers were told Gauri was the one to be eventually paired with Hiten again but she was tied up in a contract for a while. So until she got free they had to kill time but also work on Karan’s character and give it more layers and shades.
They decided giving him an ex was the route to go about it but avoided giving them any nuanced writing and ensured their relationship would be very surface level. As if they were treating a school crush we bump into again after ages. You recall that sense of butterflies in your stomach that you experienced for the first time in your life for someone but can recognise it as nothing more than your first brush with feelings and attraction for someone, the first aftermath of puberty.
It’s sweet, nostalgic and tender now even if it was exhilarating, terrifying and thrilling all at once when it happened. You smile at them, perhaps nod your head, wave… maybe they return the acknowledgment. You two move on and you think nothing about that encounter after it’s over. You don’t give a thought about what could have been, what you once felt beyond that trip down memory lane you made in that moment at lightning speed. That person has effectively been flushed out of your system for good.
Personally, I felt it would have made more sense for Damini to have been simply a friend from childhood that Karan was close to once even if they had to be connected. Maybe she was one of the few people kind enough to treat him nicely despite his status as an illegitimate child being revealed. Maybe Karan was a neighbour who would spend time with her as they played together in their childhood. Karan’s regard for her would make sense without an unnecessary romantic connection that wasn’t even properly developed let alone killed.
The fact that Damini was the first one to notice Karan liked Nandini and trying to goad him into confessing his feelings would’ve also made sense if she was Karan’s childhood friend.
The Gautam Damini Karan trio drama could have been created by simply having Gautam Damini fall in love organically( post Teesha’s death if that’s what they wanted), but Gautam having to deal with the fact that Damini was Karan’s oldest, perhaps closest friend. He couldn’t help but fall in love with her but also can’t stand it that she would be so close to the one person he hates. Damini confiding in Karan and turning to him for any help would have further fuelled his envy too.
Damini falling in love with the family enough to not want to leave them was also a bit bizarre. Damini was no orphan by any means… and we didn’t see exactly what was it about the family that caused her to move on from the man she loved too. I mean sure we saw her get well with Ganga but that was surely not enough to warrant a change of heart. Ganga could have remained her friend even if she married Karan. It was no secret that Karan was close to Ganga as a friend. He would have simply been thrilled that his wife and his best friend were such good friends too. Saahil was not the kind to raise any issues about it with Ganga either, certainly not after Karan had supported him and Ganga always.
It would have made sense if they hadn’t rushed from one relationship to another for any of the characters like it was just a train moving expected to halt every couple of minutes for passengers. As if one relationship ending meant nothing, you just got into another as if switching trains for a long distance journey where one train wasn’t enough for you to get to your destination.
Plus the gross aspect of brothers ending up in a relationship with the same girl repeatedly would have been avoided too.
I mean sure… they went there with Karan with almost ALL his brothers. Tulsi had asked Karan if he would be interested in marrying Ganga, almost as soon as she was divorced from Gautam… (she didn’t even know who/what sort of a person Karan was let alone his family), Damini was his girlfriend, and Nandini was actually married to Ansh. The only exceptions to this rule were Harsh who picked Mohini whom Karan never quite liked and Tarun who disappeared!
With Nandini too, his relationship was honestly very rushed. They made fun of each other, had fun bantering and yet you never quite understood how did they fall so deeply in love in such a short amount of time, based on what. Their attraction to each other was also not quite as strongly expressed.
So his eventual inability to move on from her was also baffling and just written in because the show intended for them to be the main couple of that generation who just so happened to be played by 2 popular actors who ended up being married irl.
I understand their issue while not giving a proper scene when Karan Nandani fell because that IMO was the core of their relationship..
There was not one moment they fell for each other, it happened with every interaction of theirs. They fought each other without any reason but also trusted each other over everyone.
Sahil was Nandani's cousin and supposedly they were very close and Pooja was her maasi, yet when she was in trouble (while Ansh made her seem like she has done some dazzlement of 10 lakhs) she called Karan. It was actually more like trust developing as you move through without a single pin point moment. In many real love stories that's how it happens. Love at first site is rare in reality.
Aside their main objective was them not confessing to each other because that was to be the major cause of upcoming mishap..
Karan Damini though went completely haywire. And that element if anything made Karan's character confusing ...
Damini was his love for years and yet he could move on but couldn't move on Nandani with whom he didn't even spend a few months?
You are right she was definitely brought as a filler because they couldn't let go Karan as a character (who they had to make the new lead) and didn't have him much to do in absence of Nandani/Gauri since his plans were already exposed and downed by Viranis. They kept him at the Anupam's so as to have him near the family even if away. And then got him plotting against the family via Damini so that audience feel his presence even if he isn't physically there.
Unfortunately for that they decided to kiII Teesha, who was the sweetest of them all(I think she could have been made a better Tulsi ki parchai than Ganga/Nandani)
But story lost its complete lustre with this move... It made Karan Damini and Gautam all three seem very shallow
I can already visualize Tulsi's monologue to counter his accusations.

that is what the issue is. they will end with one monologue... But it should have been a big track to address his insecure
I still wish they had given them a better storyline in terms of timeline at least. That’s my pet peeve. They showed Karan took no time to move on and it was just bizarre.
There should have been a bit more depth in their conversations. Maybe Karan found himself talking to her in ways he never could or did with anyone before, maybe she felt like despite his external jovial nature he had a side to him which was deeply lonely which he kept to himself, that he had the kind of mental maturity that she couldn’t help but be attracted to despite their arguments and found she had been looking for in a partner.
They also introduced Ansh almost at the same time as they began their track. I mean… would waiting for a month or so before they got Ansh have killed someone? I love slow burn relationships so I wished they could have done that here for at least one couple. Besides it would have broken the Pratham Gauri mould despite repeating the same pair.
Even Mihir Tulsi got married before Kyunki completed 25 episodes! But in their case they were shown as childhood friends who simply reconnected and fell in love as adults as they did so. The fact that they had Mihir shown as studying abroad for 7 years at the beginning of the show also logically worked here. The gap made sure that when they reconnected it was as adults who could recognise and distinguish the difference between crushes (a result of hormones) and genuine love.
They met again and recognised they were not just mentally compatible as friends but were also attracted to each other. They always knew each other, but the romantic turn of their friendship was simply a natural consequence of attraction that simmered between them when they met again and realised, I want these qualities in a partner and I am attracted to my friend too. That made sense given the established history…. with KN the rush seems strange and inorganic given his breakup with Damini, if we can call it that, was very recent.
We never even knew about Nandini’s past before Karan. If she had a relationship or not.

Serial writers don't put much effort or thought process in writing tracks. They just wirte what they think can bring trps. The only thing they know that somehow they have to show Tulsi as always right, so the people standing against her will be always shown wrong or misguided.
