Sallu has been rejecting girls to be cast opposite him for Veer

The casting of a leading lady for Salman Khan's Veer has been long pending. The delay has occurred because the actor has been shooting down all the names suggested to him for a female lead opposite him.

Sources reveal that director Anil Sharma along with producer Vijay Ghelani have auditioned scores of girls over the past few weeks.

It is now believed that The makers are looking for a fresh young face. Salman was quite impressed with Anushka Sharma, the girl opposite Shah Rukh in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and wants someone with a similar appeal. Since he's busy with his television show, Salman hasn't been able to attend any of the auditions himself."

Adds an insider, "Whenever there's a consensus on any girl, Salman disapproves of the choice and the audition process is held all over again. He has given clear instructions that he wants a fresh face who doesn't bear any resemblance whatsoever to any other actress.

It is learnt that the actor has been shown a couple of photos but he wasn't impressed by any."

Anil Sharma confirmed that they were having a tough time finding the right girl. He says, "We are looking for a pretty girl and are unable to find one. We are having auditions in different places trying to find the girl. Salman is also helping us with the process."

The film has been delayed due to Salman's other assignments and the casting that has yet to be done.
