Why not Jhende? Because other versions already did that and it's way too obvious. He has already been portrayed as a villain, a tough guy who can do anything for Arya, even set fire (his speciality apparently, done it thrice already) to distract or kill people. That's just a red herring guys.

This same Jhende, once he realized his friend genuinely loved Anu and was asked to make arrangements for the proposal, did so immediately. He is not against their relationship per se, it's the repercussions that he is worried about and the most important thing for him - his friend's safety.

So now, I have another excellent option for Rajnandini's killer - Gopal Sharma. Who would have thunk right!

3 times Arya has tried to propose to Anu and who came in between - Gopal Sharma, all 3 times.

This is a sign which says he doesn't want them to come together.

This is what could have happened - Gopal Sharma had an entirely different identity, a different name, in his younger days and he worked under RN's father.

He was a devious greedy guy and was doing some ghotala in the company and RN found out.

RN told her father who then threw him out and Gopal decided to take revenge for this ghor apmaan.

RN then went on to get married to Arya. Gopal married Pushpa.

Arya and Gayatri had never met Gopal. They only knew Gopal's real name and what he had done.

After their wedding, RN and Arya went to some village to visit a temple for some mannat fulfillment that had to be done on the day of Ashtami. Gopal followed them there.

RN and Arya got separated, maybe by Gopal's evil planning and Gopal killed RN after chasing her (all the running flashbacks).

Arya was devastated because he couldn't save her. So he never remarried all these years, waiting to take revenge - till Anu came into his life and subconsciously he was pulled towards her.

RN's soul chooses to enter Gopal's life for revenge. Pushpa was pregnant and RN's soul makes her entry as Anu. What better revenge than to make someone love you unconditionally (in this case conditionally because of Gopal's current behavior towards his daughter) and then finish them?

Gopal sells Rajnandini brand sarees to remind him why he hates her family. He probably wears those sarees in front of customers so that ladies look at him in those sarees and go naaah we don't want to buy them, thus reducing their sales - so loss for Arya's company.

He keeps asking Anu to leave her job because he is worried she's working with Arya. He has managed to hide everything about his past and pretends to be an innocent middle class guy who gets beaten up by goons and his wife has to save him every time. All that I am a spineless, helpless guy portrayal is just a facade.

Another twist could be he is Jalandhar's brother and Jalandhar helped him get rid of RN (Gopal's real name is probably Sikandar or Jatinder)

That could be why so many people were running behind RN in the flashback scenes.

Arya found out about Jalandhar's involvement from Jhende's jasoosi but doesn't know who his brother is. Both brothers want Arya dead, to avoid getting killed by him.

Siddhi mata knows all this and that's why she keeps popping up at Anu's house and talking in riddles.

Once Anu becomes RN, this revenge story will have a lot of complexities. Anu loves her father but her inner RN hates him. Arya will want revenge because he killed his first love RN but cannot harm him because he is his current love Anu's father.

Coming to the present, Gopal now knows his daughter is involved with Arya and will go to any lengths to separate them.

Once Pushpa finds out the truth she will stop supporting him. She will go to her default mode, the original Pushpa who ate sweets and was capable of fighting Raghupati and his thugs with all that sugary energy flowing through her veins.

Yeh tha mera take on how this story could go. Let me know if it makes sense.

It will be revealed the killer is the one who was in prison. The one who jhendi tried to burn with fire but failed.

Well done even I don't want Jhende to be potrayed as final villain yr I have a soft corner for him ...I don't mind your theory coming true as such I don't find myself attached to Gopal's character

To be honest I want someone other than Arya and Jhende to play the villain

I mean there is a limit to everything. Anu is not a 16 year old that was caught with her first boyfriend that you can ask her to break up with him or just randomly slap her. I mean it’s already bad to hit kids but this is an adult women who is of the age of marriage. Have those 2 buffoons not thought for a minute that if Anu were to decide to run away from the house and get married to Arya, ( which Ik she wouldn’t do but what if) what were they planning on doing in that situation. All that maan Aur izzat wala nonsense would be over in a minute. Matters like these need to be handled with care when the couple in question are grown adults .

I feel like even if Anu had found a guy that she liked that was her own age, these 2 would have had a similar reaction to him as well because I sometimes feel like their pride particularly Gopal’s lies in the fact that anu follows all their orders rather than the fact that she is a well mannered girl.

They are already doing that job admirably. Talk about toxic parents.

Pushpa immediately went from aap toh humare bhagwan hain to slapping her adult daughter. Father still continuing his blackmailing, now verbally.

Buffoon was my favorite word for these two, now I have others - manipulative, controlling, egocentric etc

I would have liked it if Anu eloped instead of pandering to her parents' wishes.
