Was he??? I really doubt... my observations in situ were that he complemented her and made her more relaxed... I guess that the 'foundation' was laid much earlier but they weren't mature enough - yet (to me, understandable in such a volatile environment and with the baggage both had). Of course, they still had their struggles being both strong personalities but the kids gave them something that made it worth to work on their partnership (and I mean "partner"!).

Now to the topic title...ridiculous and biased, imo.
