Okay... So I found the WiKi page for the original Malayalam show. It's a typical love story between a mute girl and a rich boy against their families' wishes.

But then again, the Star Bharat remake introduced the female infanticide plot so I really hope the Colors version also does that.

Otherwise it would be extremely cheap of them to introduce the concept in the first promo to generate hype and then abandon it in the middle.

I don’t think reshmi will abandon it seeing she’s focusing on the femicide issue based on the first promo. She did that show Shakti Ashtiva Ki where she didn’t abandon the trans/intersex issue in the show. Also it mostly depends on trps too

Well, at some point they will have to move forward with other issues as well, to show the lead's progression.

However, for their own sake they should be smart about it.

The only show of Rashmi that I followed was Dil Diya Gallan. Good topic, good actors and then they kept the story relevant too for quite some time.

But, after a certain point they kept repeating the same plot over and over again which made no sense considering it showed the characters in very poor light who learned nothing from their previous mistakes and kept indulging in the same cycle of love-misunderstanding-hatred.

I hope they do a better job here.

Off-topic, but I found it extremely funny that Bhavika will be playing a mute girl. This is entirely different from her off-screen personality and the roles she has played so far. I'm glad she took this challenge.

I think so 🤔 According to WiKi, it's the longest running show of that channel.

Besides, they aren't gonna take risk to remake something which wasn't a hit in the first place, right?
