I also want to say khan era is officially done. Amir is more or less retired from acting, Salman is on his way out and Srk will be the last one out especially if king doesnt work.

Audience is ready for more and Ranbir, Ranveer and Vicky are ready to take the torch from khans.

You Sure? All 3 took nearly 8-10 years to cross what Khans did in their 40-50s. Now Khans are in 60s, right age to Retire, still Srk's Jawan is ahead of All 3 stars till Dhurandhar crosses it.

Khans from Debut to till date, have surprised every time they have come on Screen, I won't write them off till the time their films completely shatter to disasters.

I dont think Ranveer/Ranbir/VickY are in khans' league. I dont know if they will ever reach that status, khans are in category of their own.

I just think audience has moved on from them, and type of movies they usually do. Movies like Tiger and pathan is not what audience want anymore and i don't think they can reinvent themselves unless they move to more mature character roles.

You are right, they have invent themselves. Like I say these days, Bhai has to loose weight if he has to come in any kind of action role. Else, he can do rom-com, but for action, he has to become lean like Srk, Akki or even Ajay.

They have to bring audience something new, now formula work won't do anything good for them.

I do not think any popular actor can ever be written off especially not superstars with massive legacies. All they need is a good film or series of good films to bounce back. SRK's comeback should teach us that if nothing else. Even AB Sr can give hit films still if the movie is good. Yeah Khans may not be in their older glory days aka delivering back to back hits even if the movie is not good, but they can still give ATBB if it is well made IMO!!!
