How do we play strands again?

Everyone seems really confused about how Strands are solved so here's an old one (from a previous game) for your reference -

The Spangram is the word that explains what the title means... and also connects to all the other words. Basically, it's the theme.

In the above example, SPICES is the Spangram.
The other words are Paprika, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamon, Turmeric and Cumin.

The rule of Strands is that letters can connect to each other in all directions.. unlike word search where you can't change directions in the middle of a word. Also, the whole grid of alphabets will be used up... no letter will be left unused if you have found all the words. There are also no repetitions... if a letter is used in one word, it can't be reused in another.
