I watch fairly ' adult ' themed English movies with my mother as long as the sex scenes aren't too graphic or too long. But I can't imagine watching animal with her at the theater. The obvious reasons aside ,her Hindi is pretty bad and they usually don't show subs at theaters here. Years ago when we were watching Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, half way into the movie she yells ( grandpa was hard of hearing so all of us have a very loud speaking voice ). " OMG ! They're PROSTITUTES !!! " " Is the mother one too ? ". She kept asking me if Kunal and Abhishek had a 'motive '.

So there was no question of explaining Animal to her. She'd have pukka assumed Rashmika was the prostitute in this one when they started having sex in front of the maid. And she's a hygiene freak so that underwear swap scene would have had her ranting.

But I remember I saw Coolie. No.1 remake and I saw on tv w my whole family. An it wasn’t offensive. But they all thought it was stupid and by the time it was over I was alone in the room watching

I went to hate-watch it Everybody was talking about the toxicity and misogyny. I was really looking forward to hating it ; it had been a while since I had taken offense at something. And all I saw was insanity. Lots and lots of insanity, plain absurdity and Triptis Dewey skin. Pretty much everyone in the film seemed insane. Ended up walking out when they introduced the body double ,before Bobby came along I think.

Bad movie really like those 80s and 90s movies which you could watch in fast-forward in 30 mins you’d still get the story, gist and not miss anything. Same here. I finished it in 25-30 mins I remember.

To be honest, to me, it would make more sense to only count the numbers of Papa the frustrated son said to his papa (and wasn't done by mentioning him without adressing him)... then it would be an interesting comparison to Brahmastra how often Alia had to adress Ranbir with Shiva .

Vanga has more humour towards colleagues from the own industry... nice
