Tbh I don’t mind where cid has multiple seasons and each season is about 30-50 episodes so they can focus on quality. It’s like that technique where you keep low items in stock so demand is naturally higher.

Personally, I lost interest in season 2 at the end of May because couldn’t stand the new characters and I hate when episodes are all over the place for example we were getting some episodes with barbosa’s plot, then we had normal episodes and few with mix. As an audience I had no idea what I was gonna get. If they were focusing on barbosa then focus completely on that.

I'm sad that CID2 is going off air even before completing its 1st anniversary but tbh this was expected because of low TRPs. Though I'm hopeful for Season3.

So, below are some of the improvements I want in CID Season 3:

  1. No more half-baked tracks: Season 2 was full of unresolved arcs — Barboza, Angara, Tony… all were left hanging without any proper explanation. Even those mysterious gift boxes outside Dr. Salunkhe’s house made no sense in the end. And Shreya’s return as an officer was downright confusing because they never clarified why she killed her IB teammates in the 2018 car bomb blast. These incomplete and illogical tracks frustrated viewers so much that many stopped watching. So in Season 3, any storyline they start should also be properly concluded with logical reasoning and meaningful closure.

  2. Stop fake death and behrupiya twists: These old tricks just don’t work anymore. ACP Pradyuman’s fake death arc is the perfect example — it backfired and TRPs dropped instantly. Even the duplicate Salunkhe plot was full of loopholes and badly executed. Makers need to understand that OG CID fans can't accept CID except OG4 — ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet, Daya, and Dr. Salunkhe. Don’t mess with these characters. If they really want impactful drama, show a real martyrdom of other side characters like Tasha, Aditi or Roma. That adds realism and emotional connection.

  3. End the Abhirika track: Abhirika track has dragged on for 17 years without purpose, and Shraddha Musale is busy with her business now, so she can’t commit regularly. Even if she returns in Season 3, it’ll again be one episode and then disappear for ten, which is frustrating. Ending that chapter cleanly is better. If the makers want to show Abhijeet's romance, they should cast a popular and talented ITV actress opposite Abhijeet and show a fresh, mature, non-cringe love track.

  4. Bring back natural fun moments: Add some light, humorous interactions between officers while solving cases, just like the 1998–2007 era. No cringe, just genuine camaraderie.

100% agreeing with your points:

1. CID cannot fight with an International Gang such as EYE alone.

2. So sorry to say, after watching Daya undercover drama (the most disastrous one), for a moment I wished the character Daya should have been martyred in the Episode Behrupiyaa itself.

3. Before the entry of Dr.Tarika, Abhijeet was a mature officer. But after that, we know how his character evolved for bad.

4. Yes during 1998 to 2011, there was light humour moments especially between Vivek and Freddy. Before writing this comment, I was watching the Episode The case of Killer Statues in Dangal 2. The introduction of Dr.Nyla was very fun but not over.

Was it only me or Daya-shreya's love story seems too forced?? Like they had to bring it up due to the SM hype??

Majorly toh s2 lacked emotions....there was no Trust between the officers jo s1 mein tha....the care they genuinely had for each other was not in this season

S1 mein koi gayab ya kidnap hota tha everyone used to be concerned....abhi ka concern seemed fake and most of the times dikha hi nahi

Secondly har officer pitai and all karne ke baad safely wapis aata tha....police ki duty is not that safe ki har mission ke baad sab safely wapis aate hein

Thirdly all episodes were rushed...the family like scenes were very minimal

And lastly Daya Shreya ka track is very awkward

The beauty of CID Season 1 is that around 99% of Officials are honest and corrupt free (exceptions: Daksh, a police inspector involved in helping a man kidnapping his own child, one Forest officer during Kavin - Dushyant era and like some of few). In real life there may be corruption in various authorities. But CID Series is for entertainment + intelligence. In season 2 they are indirectly pointing towards corruption in authorities. This was not the culture of Old CID.

Agreed. And the few times they did show corrupt officers, they got what they deserved. Daksh didn't get away with it. When they showed a police officer doing something criminal, CID would nab that officer and he would get punished. But Daya just walked away unscathed.

I've been skipping through those scenes. I didn't like it in first season and I don't like it now. It's not that I'm against romance, but the PH in first season couldn't handle it maturely, and neither can this PH.
